Hemelwaterafvoer.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
leiding.
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>

Rainwater drainage.
The invention relates to a rainwater discharge, in particular a filling device for the discharge of rainwater, comprising a funnel, a horizontal pipeline and a vertical pipeline.
Such a drain is known in construction, and is mainly used for the drainage of rainwater from flat roofs of office and commercial buildings. For this type of buildings, a rainwater drain is often used that works according to a full filling system. In this type of building, the discharge pipe runs indoors, and when using the filling system, the diameter of the pipes can be kept small. This is possible because with this system a special funnel is installed in the roof, with which no air is drawn into the pipe above a certain flow rate of waste water.
If the falling water fills the cross section of the vertical pipe 100% locally, a negative pressure will arise in the pipe, so that the drain water will flow faster and the diameter of the pipe can thus be kept small.
A number of funnels will usually be placed in a roof. A horizontal pipeline runs from each funnel under the roof, which opens into a collecting pipe and then into a vertical pipeline.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
leadership. In known plastic filling systems, the discharge pipe is made of polyethylene (PE). Because the roof of a building can reach a high temperature in the summer in the sun, the drain pipes just below the roof will also have a high temperature. The pipelines will expand in axial direction as a result. In the vertical pipeline, the expansion can be accommodated by an expansion sleeve, but in the horizontal pipeline it is not very usable.
Therefore, the known filling system provides a system of clamping suspension brackets where the horizontal pipeline is rigidly clamped, which suspension brackets must be rigidly fixed to the roof, so that the horizontal pipeline cannot mesh.
Since many roofs have a thin steel sheet pile profile on the inside, to which the suspension brackets cannot be fixed rigidly, a box profile is fixed above the horizontal pipeline to the suspension brackets, which, in a manner comparable to splints, provides the system with sufficient rigidity. In a horizontal bend of the horizontal pipeline, a bending leg can be arranged between adjacent suspension brackets, which accommodates the expansion of the bend section itself.
The installation of the clamping suspension brackets and the box profile increases the price of the rainwater drainage. A well-thought-out design of the fastening is also necessary, and the installers must have the necessary architectural knowledge to apply this fastening. In addition, the bending leg causes expansion bends in the bend of the horizontal pipeline upon expansion.
It is therefore an object of the invention to provide an inexpensive rainwater drainage, which is simple to design and install, and which does not generate excessive stresses.
According to the invention, this object is achieved with a rainwater discharge of the type described in the preamble, whereby between the funnel and the horizontal pipeline
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
means are provided which incorporate unobstructed expansion and contraction of the horizontal pipeline.
This will allow the horizontal pipeline to expand axially freely at a temperature higher than the temperature at which the rainwater drain is installed, and to contract axially freely at a temperature lower than the temperature at which the drain is installed. A box profile for providing sufficient fixed points to the filling system is therefore no longer necessary. This also makes the use of a bending leg superfluous. By applying the invention, undesired stresses in the horizontal pipeline are prevented.
Advantageously, the means including an unobstructed axial expansion and contraction of the horizontal pipeline comprises a flexible connection, said flexible connection comprising a flexible hose having a first connection end for the funnel and with a second connection end for the horizontal pipeline. This provides a simple connection, which can be connected directly to the funnel and to the horizontal pipeline.
According to an advantageous embodiment, the flexible hose has a corrugated outer profile in longitudinal section and a substantially smooth inside, so that the flexible hose can bend easily.
It is particularly advantageous if the horizontal pipeline consists of a plastic, with an expansion coefficient of less than 0.12 mm / Oc / mtr., So that it is possible to use a short flexible connection, so that the horizontal pipeline is close to the bottom. roof can be installed and therefore hangs as little as possible in the way.
The material of the horizontal pipeline is advantageously PVC, since PVC pipes are available in a range of different diameters and PVC is good and easy to process.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
It is advantageous here if the material of the vertical pipeline is the same as the material of the horizontal pipeline, so that a good connection between the horizontal and the vertical pipeline is ensured.
The flexible hose of the flexible connection is advantageously manufactured from thermoplastic plastic, so that the flexible connection is easy to assemble, for instance by gluing.
It is particularly advantageous if the horizontal pipeline is suspended in open hook-shaped brackets, the design of which is such that the horizontal pipeline can slide into the hook-shaped brackets practically unimpeded upon expansion and contraction.
The brackets are preferably suspended using threaded rods.
The horizontal pipeline is advantageously glued, as high stresses will not occur at the connection points of individual pipe sections due to the unobstructed expansion and contraction. In the hitherto known plastic rainwater drainage, the individual pipe sections had to be welded together.
The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to an embodiment, with reference to the annexed drawings.
The single figure shows an embodiment of a rainwater drain according to the invention.
In the figure, the roof of a building is indicated with the numeral 1. On the inside, the roof 1 has a thin steel sheet pile profile 2 with a thickness of, for example, 1 mm. The compartments of the sheet pile profile 2 can be filled with insulating material and covered by a roof covering.
A funnel 10 is arranged in the roof 1.
A flexible connection, generally indicated by 20, extends from the funnel 10 to a horizontal pipeline 30. The flexible connection 20 consists of a
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
flexible hose 21 with a first connecting end 22 attached to the funnel 10, and a second connecting end 23 connecting to the horizontal pipeline 30. The horizontal pipeline 30 debouches into a horizontal manifold 40, which may have a larger diameter than the horizontal pipeline 30, since a number of horizontal pipelines 30 will open into the manifold 40. The manifold 40 changes into a vertical pipeline 50, which can have an expansion sleeve 51.
The horizontal pipelines 30 and 40 are suspended in one or more open hook-shaped brackets 4, each of which is fastened to a fastening 3 which is fastened to the sheet pile profile 2 in a manner not shown.
The shape of the hook-shaped brackets 4 for the horizontal pipe lines 30 and 40 is such that the pipe lengths can easily slide therein.
The flexible hose 21 of the flexible connection 20 has a substantially smooth inner side and a longitudinal section of a spiral or corrugated outer profile.
The horizontal pipeline 30, the manifold 40 and the vertical pipeline 50 are preferably made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
The rainwater drainage works as follows.
In the summer, the roof 1 can reach a high temperature. The interior temperature of the building just under the roof can then rise to 45OC. The horizontal pipelines will then also assume a temperature of 450C. The temperature at which the discharge pipes have been laid may have been 50C. The horizontal pipelines have expanded due to this temperature difference.
PVC has a linear coefficient of expansion of 0.06 mm / OC / mtr, and a horizontal pipeline of 40 meters in length will expand 0.06 x 40 x 40 = 96 mm. The horizontal pipeline will slide practically unhindered into the open ends of the hook-shaped brackets 4, because the brackets 4 have a suitable shape. The
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
flexible hose 21 will absorb the horizontal displacement of the second connecting end 23 without any difficulty, since it already bends due to its shape under the influence of very small forces.
Pipes made of PE were used in the hitherto known plastic system. This material is able to absorb internally axial stresses caused by the temperature change during clamping.
Because the horizontal pipeline had to be clamped in that known system, PVC could not be used, because the axial stresses that would arise in it would lead to plastic deformation, in particular kinking, and even collapse of the PVC pipe. PE, however, has a thermal expansion coefficient that is about three times as high as the thermal expansion coefficient of PVC. By now using PVC, of which the axial thermal expansion is released, the distance between the top of the pipelines 30 and 40 and the bottom of the sheet pile profile 2 can be kept much smaller than if PE were used, the axial thermal expansion would be released.
In winter, the interior temperature of the building just below the roof can drop to ooc. The horizontal pipelines will then also assume a temperature of OOC. The temperature at which the discharge pipes have been laid may have been 300C. The horizontal pipelines are contracted by this temperature difference, which also leads to a displacement of the connecting end 23, which displacement can be accommodated without problems by the flexible hose 21.
As with the known systems, the diameters of the horizontal pipeline, the manifold and the vertical pipeline will be determined by the height of the building, the type of roof, the surface of the roof and the number of funnels 10. In the known manner, a suitable diameter of the PVC pipes. The
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
the diameter of the flexible connection 20 must be adapted thereto.
