Abstract
The system enables the vehicle steering wheel to be disengaged from itssteering column. Several possibilities exist in order to obtain this result.In this case, it is a semi-cylinder constituted at its upper part by a keycylinder which according to its orientation either does or does not make thesteering wheel integral with its steering column. A bolt and keeper orelectric solenoid system is also conceivable.

L'invention concerne un système permettant de
débrayer le volant du véhicule de sa colonne de direction qui commande le mouvement directionnel
des roues.
A part un système où l'on dégoupille le volant
(comme sur les formules 1) avec l'inconvénient de devoir emporter le volant avec soi, aucun système d'antivol ne proposait de désolidariser le volant
de la colonne de direction.Le principe de base étant d'empêcher de voler le véhicule.
La présente invention permet de débrayer le volant
de l'axe de la colonne de direction, ce qui déroute forcément le voleur et d'autant plus si le système est couplé avec l'antivol conventionnel. Une double sécurité est ainsi assurée. Car, bien sûr, l'antivol conventionnel avec son pêne ne saurait être mis hors d'usage que si le volant reste couplé à la colonne
de direction.
L'invention est exposée ci-après plus en détail à l'aide de dessins représentant.seulement un des modes de réalisation possible.
Dans le système exposé à la figure 1, la colonne de

cannelures, et à l'écrou de maintien à l'extrémité de la colonne de direction.
Le volant 1 est dans le cas des figures 1 et 2 désolidarisé de la pièce n[deg.]2. Mais si le barillet 4 actionné par'la clé 5 exécute un demi-tour, le volant 1 et la colonne 3 sont embrayés ou rendus solidaires (fig.3).
Une goupille de sécurité 6, qui serait non apparente empêche le barillet à clé de sortir et un circlips 7 assure le positionnement de la pièce n[deg.]2 par rapport au volant 1.

In the system shown in Figure 1, the column of

splines, and the retaining nut at the end of the steering column.
The flywheel 1 is in the case of FIGS. 1 and 2 separated from the part n [deg.] 2. But if the barrel 4 actuated by the key 5 performs a half-turn, the steering wheel 1 and the column 3 are engaged or made integral (fig.3).
A safety pin 6, which would not be visible, prevents the key cylinder from coming out and a circlip 7 ensures the positioning of the part n [deg.] 2 relative to the steering wheel 1.
