Abstract

The system enables the vehicle steering wheel to be disengaged from itssteering column. Several possibilities exist in order to obtain this result. In this case, it is a semi-cylinder constituted at its upper part by a keycylinder which according to its orientation either does or does not make thesteering wheel integral with its steering column. A bolt and keeper orelectric solenoid system is also conceivable.

Description

ANTIVOL POUR VEHICULES A ROUES DIRECTRICES (Automobile,

camion,etc..)

ANTITHEFT FOR STEERING WHEEL VEHICLES (Automobile,

truck, etc.)

The invention relates to a system for

disengage the steering wheel of the vehicle from its steering column which controls the directional movement

wheels.

Apart from a system where you unpin the steering wheel

(as on formulas 1) with the disadvantage of having to take the steering wheel with you, no anti-theft system proposed to separate the steering wheel

The main principle is to prevent the vehicle from being stolen.

The present invention disengages the steering wheel

the axis of the steering column, which necessarily confuses the thief and all the more if the system is coupled with the conventional anti-theft device. Double security is thus ensured. Because, of course, the conventional anti-theft device with its bolt can only be put out of use if the steering wheel remains coupled to the column

of management.

The invention is set out below in more detail with the aid of drawings representing only one of the possible embodiments.

In the system shown in Figure 1, the column of

 <EMI ID = 1.1>

splines, and the retaining nut at the end of the steering column.

The flywheel 1 is in the case of FIGS. 1 and 2 separated from the part n [deg.] 2. But if the barrel 4 actuated by the key 5 performs a half-turn, the steering wheel 1 and the column 3 are engaged or made integral (fig.3).

A safety pin 6, which would not be visible, prevents the key cylinder from coming out and a circlip 7 ensures the positioning of the part n [deg.] 2 relative to the steering wheel 1.

Claims (1)

REVENDICATIONS. CLAIMS. Anti-theft system for any vehicle comprising a steering system by means of a steering wheel. This system is characterized by the disengagement of the steering wheel 1 rendering the directional system 2 and 3 of the vehicle inoperative. Here, the connection is made by means of a semi-cylinder in connection with a key cylinder (4 and 5) and by the fact that by making a U-turn therewith, the steering wheel turns freely independently of the steering column. Tout autre système rendant solidaire deux pièces Any other system joining two pieces together et pouvant être débloqué, par exemple un système and can be unlocked, for example a system à pêne et gâche, un système faisant appel à un solénoide commandé électriquement,etc... with bolt and strike, a system using an electrically controlled solenoid, etc.
