Stofzuigermondstuk

Vacuum cleaner nozzle
The invention relates to a vacuum cleaner nozzle with elastic strips or lips arranged on the nozzle bottom.
Vacuum cleaner nozzles are known in which elastic strips or lips of rubber or soft plastic are arranged at the nozzle bottom in part or also over the entire working width behind the suction opening.
As a result, the suction flow is directed in a concentrated manner and the formation of inactive secondary air is prevented.
Due to their elasticity, the strips break off flexibly during the forward and backward movement of the suction nozzle, depending on the resistance of the surface to be cleaned, b. v. for carpet coverings, depending on the pile height. The strips also spread the pile and therefore facilitate cleaning at the depth of the pile setting. Dirt adhering to the surface is loosened before extraction and the carpet pile refreshed.
These frames, however, have the drawback that wear-resistant materials for the frames are inflexible and increase the permissible degree of shear resistance. With high elastic materials of rubber or plastic the wear increases and the attachment of the moldings to the mouthpiece part is cumbersome, difficult and unsatisfactory.
If the wall thickness of the lips on the strips is chosen too thin to achieve the desired flexibility, they are drawn towards the suction opening by the suction flow and lose their effectiveness.
The invention is based on the problem of providing a vacuum cleaner nozzle of the above-mentioned type, the lists of which, respectively. lips are wear-resistant and flexible at the same time, whereby the sliding resistance is not increased and application to the nozzle part is relatively simple.
The problem is solved according to the invention in that the strip consists of a fastening part and a lip, which are connected to each other by a desired bending location, whereby the tilting of the lip in the direction of the suction opening can be prevented by limiting elements, and the confirmation

hard part and the lip made of soft material. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are apparent from the features of claims 2-5.
The invention will be described in more detail below with reference to a preferred embodiment with reference to the drawings, as an example; Fig. 1 shows the underside of a vacuum cleaner nozzle; Fig. 2 is a section through the vacuum cleaner nozzle along the line I-II in Fig. 1; 3-6 are cross-sections through different frames.
Figures 1 and 2 show the vacuum cleaner nozzle with the nozzle part 1 and the suction opening 2 arranged therein, the nozzle top part 3 and the hinged stub 4. In the rear part of the nozzle part 1, a strip 5 is placed in a single groove 6 over the entire working width. This strip 5 consists of a fixing part 7 and a lip 8, which are connected to each other by a desired bending point 9, the desired bending point 9 being designed as a film hinge.
In order that the very flexible lip 8 does not tip over in the direction of the suction opening 2 due to the suction flow, a plurality of stops 10 are provided as limiting elements on the nozzle part 1. They limit the possibility of movement of the lip 8 in the direction of the suction opening 2.
Instead of stops 10 on the nozzle part 1, as shown in Figures 4 and 5, a cam 11 on a resp. are molded on both sides. This cam 11 limits the tilting movement of the lip 8 relative to the fixing part 7 of the frame 5 in a resp. both directions of movement (see fig. 4). In addition, as shown in Fig. 6, the lip 8 can also be formed off-center, approximately at the edge of the fastening part 7.
By means of pressing or the extruding method, the fastening part 7 is manufactured for a simple application from a material with a high degree of hardness and the lip 8 from a soft, wear-resistant material. With a plastic type, such as PVC, the modification part of the hardness-Shore-hardness-the fixing part 7 can be made hard and the lip 8 soft in one piece.

so The use of PVC is not optimal because of the wear on lip 8. Good wear properties are created for this purpose by processing two distinct plastic types, such as hard PVC for the fastening part 7 and polyurethane for the lip 8.
Except for vacuum cleaner nozzles, the strip 5 can also be used in the same way with brush vacuum cleaners or brush attachments.
