"Openschuivende dakstructuur, meer bepaaid verandadak"
EMI1.1

<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

"Sliding roof structure, more stretched veranda roof"
EMI1.1
-This invention on a top longitudinal beam to be mounted on a wall or the like and at least two sliding profiles mounted at right angles thereto, which are connected at the bottom with a bottom longitudinal beam.
The object of the invention is to prescribe a sliding roof structure which makes it possible to partially open a glazed roof, such as that of a veranda, for example, and keep it completely water and draft-proof in the closed position.
EMI1.2
------------- En-adet-zer-btargk does-of-the-invention is the realization of these objects by using a limited number, for example no more than four, different metal profiles which, inter alia, referred to in longitudinal and. ensure transversely.
In order to make this possible in accordance with the invention, the above-mentioned sliding profiles have wings at different levels, the upper of which serves as a support for a fixed frame, the middle one as a slide for an upper sliding frame and the lower one as a slide for a lower sliding frame. which latter frame can be moved back and forth along the above-mentioned sliding profiles through chains and an electric motor, while the profiles comprising the upper and lower sliding frames,

+ it has been profiled that, when moved, towards the closed position, the lower sliding frame takes the upper sliding frame with it, while the opening of the upper sliding frame is effected by pressing two square brackets fixed on the lower sliding frame.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Remarkable for the invention is the fact that on the bottom frame a slat is mounted on which at least one 'front'! <euF fwee as bumpers serving Snags are attached and the said slat is mounted on two sliding blocks that can be slid into the above-mentioned sliding profiles while a sliding bar is connected through the aforementioned sliding blocks and the spring is provided around the aforementioned bar, one and - -other-such that at the end of the movement of the lower sliding frame towards the closed position, the frame referred to is resiliently pressed against the lower longitudinal beam referred to above in order to ensure airtight sealing.
In accordance with the invention, the above-mentioned lower sliding frame has a wing which is provided with two draft-resistant elements, such as brushes which are directed at right angles to each other and held in the closed position against the two mutually running perpendicular walls of the above-mentioned lower crossbar.
Other defails and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description of a sliding roof structure according to the invention. This description is given by way of example only and does not limit the invention. The reference numbers refer to the attached figures.
Figure 1A shows in cross-section according to the direction of displacement of the parts the roof structure according to the invention in the closed position (upper longitudinal beam, upper fixed frame and, partly, upper sliding frame).

Figure 4 is, on a larger scale and with partial cut-outs, a side view of the sliding pad according to the invention together with the associated rod and spring.
Figure 5 shows on a larger scale a front view of a closing piece of two profiles connected at right angles to each other.
The sliding roof structure depicted by these figures primarily relies on a wall
EMI3.1
The same fixed upper cross section of this longitudinal beam 2 has at the top a continuous rounded trough 3 for receiving a filling mass 4, such as preferably silicone. At the bottom, the cross section of the cross beam forms a chamber 5 for receiving a continuous tube 6 with z. G. tubular motor 7.
The function of this tube 6 with tube motor 7 is further explained.
Sliding profiles 8 (especially made clear by figure 4) are mounted at right angles to the upper longitudinal beam 2 and are fixed at the bottom to a lower longitudinal beam 9.
The sliding profiles 8 with wings 8 'and S "consist of an upper hollow chamber 10, a central hollow chamber which is divided into two corridors 11 and 11' above one another. Only corridor 11 plays a technically important role here, because in the a sliding block 12 is slidably mounted in corridor 111, while a chain 13 runs in the same corridor 11. This chain passes on the one hand over a sprocket wheel 14 mounted on the above-mentioned tube 6 and over a freely rotating U-section 15 in the corridor 11 '. mounted sprocket 16.
The sliding blocks 12 can be replaced by wheels.
The chain 13 is interrupted by a bar 17 around which is wound a spring 18 which is partly in a widened cylindrical portion 19 of the cylindrical bore 20, where
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
passes through the bar 17. This cylindrical bore 20 extends in the longitudinal direction through the sliding block 12. This sliding block 12 is fastened to the board with bolts 21; 22 confirmed. This cross-section snag-shaped slat 22 connects several frames mounted next to each other.

Between the channel 26 and the profile 27 the fixed frame 28 is received.
This fixed frame has a curved wing at the front (this expression means the side facing away from wall 1)

29 with little elements, like brushes 30.
It should be noted that, in both the open and closed positions, the brushes 30 of the curved wing 29 of the fixed frame 28 ensure close contact with the profile of the upper sliding frame 31. It is also noteworthy that along the front the upper sliding frame 31 has the same transverse profile as can be seen very clearly from figure 3. This profile also has a curved wing 29 ', fitted with brushes 30'.
Only the lower sliding frame 32 is equipped with a rectilinear wing 33 with brushes 34. Wing 33 merges into a more or less resilient wing 35 with brushes 36 which are perpendicular to the brushes 34. The brushes 34 and 34 respectively. 36, in the closed position, come into contact with the walls 37 and 38 of the lower longitudinal beam 9.
Both the upper sliding frame 31 and the lower sliding frame 32 have a curved wing 39, respectively, along the end which is directed towards the upper longitudinal beam 2.

When the roof structure is in the closed position, d. i. As shown in Figures 1A and 1B, the brushes O-O and 40-40 press against the respective frames of the

EMI5.2
-------------- The draft-proof pressing-of-the-breasts --- 36 against the wall 38 and the close fitting of the curved wings 29 and 39 on the one hand, and 29 ' and 39, on the other hand, is due to the resilient action of the sliding block 12.
As previously explained, this sliding block 12 is engaged in the chain 13 and is attached to the snag slat 22 while the bar 17 is in the
EMI5.3
- The CereerdeervahTietstaälje iarigsricnTmg runs through this block 17, the spring is wound 18. This spring fits with one end in a widened cylindrical portion 19, belonging to the cylindrical bore through which the rod 17 is guided. At the end of the displacement of the lower sliding frame 32, the tubular motor 7 programmed for this purpose continues to rotate so that the chain 13 pulls the bar 17, which compresses the spring 18 sufficiently to exert a resilient action on the sliding block
12. This sliding block 12 carries the slat 22, with which the lower sliding frame 32 is connected.
This structure ensures complete draft-free sealing between the front portion of the bottom sliding frame 32 and the bottom longitudinal beam 9, as well as between the top edge of the bottom sliding frame and the bottom part of the bottom sliding frame.
The roof structure according to the invention is opened by rotating the tubular motor in the reverse direction, whereby the lower sliding frame 32 first moves into the brackets 41 which slide at the front of the lower sliding frame.
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
bar 32 are fixed, contact the front part of the profile belonging to the upper slidable frame 31. The movement of top stone bottom sliding frames 31 and 32 is done until both parts have reached the position shown in Figure 3.
Note that the top stone has lower sliding frames 31 and 32 of similar profiles with
EMI6.1
curved wings are provided, which ensure a draft-free sealing with the profiles of the frames 31 and 32, which are parallel to the vertical position, both during the mutual displacement of this subdivision and in the closed position. Extend these frames.
From the description given above of the sliding roof structure according to the invention it appears that all mutually cooperating sliding upper and lower frames consist of the same profiles along their four sides, of which however the curved wing is always oriented in such a way that they always perform the following functions: 1 The three lugs extending transversely of the displacement directions parallel thereto ensure the draft-tight closure on the one hand under each other and with the fixed frame, and on the other hand with. the wings of the sliding profiles.
2) The lower wing of the upper sliding frame and the lower wing of the upper sliding frame hook together so that the lower sliding frame carries the upper part when closing the roof structure.
Since the profiles from the above-mentioned frames are not mitered at the bottom but perpendicular to each other, the front side of the profile is closed with a piece 42 of a plastic such as "Hertalon" for example. This piece 42 whose plane
43 can serve as a sliding surface, is shown in figure 5. The sliding surface
43 then slides on the top side of the relevant wing S'or S ".
It is clear that the invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment and that many modifications could be made here without departing from the scope of the patent application. For example, the function of the above-mentioned sliding blocks can be taken over by rollers.
