Abstract

The invention concerns an anti-perforation device (5) made of a composite material with organic matrix, for footwear items, in particular for safety, obtained by cutting out a composite parent matrix (5) in dimensions and shapes required for use. The invention is characterised in that said composite material consists of at least a cloth layer based on aramid and/or polyethylene fibres, said fibres being impregnated with a thermosetting or thermoplastic polymer resin, the resin part in the composite material being less than 35 wt. % globally. The invention is useful for making safety footwear items.
