Description

AUSTRALIA
PATENTS ACT 1990 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION STANDARD PATENT "Mini Carousel Garment Dryer" The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me: 1 2 MINI CAROUSEL GARMENT DRYER Field of the Invention The following statement is a full description of the invention called "The Mini Carousel Garment Dryer". The invention relates to a new device which improves the drying time and ease of operation of a garment dryer and achieves this in the smallest confined spaces available to people, ie. apartments, units, flats, camping, etc.
Background to the Invention There have been many proposals for clothing dryers, some do achieve the task invariably, however they are to big and awkward to operate and bulk to sort when not in use. These problems and shortcomings are overcome by the mini carousel garment dryer invention. It provides improved drying, handling, portability and storage benefits.
The following statements include the best method for performing its functions in a 20 fixed or rotating form.
i l *Description of the Preferred Embodiments of the Invention Figure 1 shows a cutaway view of an assembled rotating form of the Mini Carousel Garment Drier exploded view, plus an exploded view showing all items unassembled and labeled from 1 to 12.
*The device is a tube made up in two sections 1H and 1L, held together with a centre insert fixed end rotating device, parts, 3, 9a, 8, 9, 10 and 11. The bottom end 1L has an insert 4, slotted in a radius and in circular configuration with one boss at each end.
With flat strips and pins inserted to item 4, then inserted into 1L, the bottom end is complete. The cup 7 is put on the device when not in use.
3 The top end has an insert item 2 slotted in radius and circular configuration, with a boss attached to each end, and flat strips. The arms are inserted in 1 H then the device is fully assembled.
To begin operation extract the legs at the bottom end The device will be standing up making positive the legs are fully opened in angled positions. Extract top end strips 5 that form drying arms and lie in directional positions, now the device is ready for use.
The tube case has 2 sections one short IL and one long 1 H assembled together with both ends sealed with a cup all working parts contained within it.
Items 1H and item IL main tube housing. These 2 items could be manufactured in varying lengths and different materials, eg. steel alloy, plastics, etc. It could also be manufactured in varying round dimensions as required due to situations arising from manufacturing or market evaluations.
Items IH and 1 L will bejoined together by items 3, 9a, 8, 9, 10 and 11 as one whole single unit between items 1H and 1L.
Item 11 nut may be tightened so item 1H and 1IL do not rotate.
The mini carousel garment dryer device comprises a pair of tubes re-sealable at both ends, as is the rotating device.
The mini carousel garment dryer device, in Figure 1 describes a tube in two sections assembled together with all working parts, within the device and sealed with two cups (7 and 7a). The cup 7a is the top end of the device, identified by the word "TOP" 30 engraved on it and on tube 1H.
4 The Device Having a Fixed Position The mini carousel garment dryer device shown in Figure la is the fixed one with no parts rotating in a circular manner. A single section of tube sealed at both ends by cups to hold the device and all working parts in a single compact unit.
The mini carousel garment dryer device, in Figure la describes a single tube with all working parts inside and sealed with 2 cups (7 and 7a) The 7a is the top of the device, identified by the wording "TOP" engraved on it and on tube 1H.
This version of the mini carousel garment dryer device is manufactured as a single unit, operating only as a single tube with no intermediate rotation. First item 3 inserted in item 1, then item 4 with item 6 inserted (press fitted) into item 1. Then item 7 inserted as a cup to hold in item 6 Turn item 1 upside down and insert item 2 when item 5 into them. Then use item 7a to cup item 2 and The device is now fully assembled in the closed stage. Figure la shows the device open. To open we need to remove item 7 and extract strips item 6, to make legs so item 1 can stand upright, then remove item 7a (cup) and extract items 5 moving items 5 into a horizontal position. In this position the mini carousel garment dryer device is fully operational. It's a very simple device which anyone can use.
o• The mini carousel garment dryer in Figure la where in each side of the tubes are pressed insert with slots and strips 6 which are extracted from the 1L bottom and each in an angled position forming legs so the device can stand upright. Then we can extract out the top strips 5 from the device in each horizontal positions as shown in Figure la.
I
The Device Having a Rotating Position Item 11 will be adjustable by way of tightening. The adjustable item 11 so 1H and 1IL will rotate easily and smoothly. Item 4 with attached strips items 6 will be inserted into item 1 L, press fitted and then item 7 inserted to close items 6 within.
Item IL after checking they work, properly together between items 6 sliding into slotted item 4.
This is when we invert the device with item 1H upward so we can assemble item 2 slotted together with strips. The number of items 5 may vary depending on the amounts necessary for the device to operate efficiently, we then press fit item 2 and item 5 to the top of item IH, making sure both item 2 and item 5 together in item 1H work properly. Then checking item 5 moves freely up and down and each one of the strips locks properly in its place through the locking pin fitted on item 5 (as shown in Figure 1).
Then a cap (item 7a) is used to plug item 2 properly with little pressure on item 7a.
As this item fits easily on top, keeping item 5 in place and under no circumstance will i" 20 they come out.
At this stage the mini carousel garment dryer is ready for storage in any small area. It will fit under cabinets, on top of furniture, under beds or cupboards in a simple word "anywhere" practical with the smallest storage place available. This device is not restricted to the form used to describe its functions in Figures 1 and a, but may be used differently (dimensions, lengths, materials and the way it is manufactured may be used to suit market conditions or manufacturing needs.
