Abstract

The invention relates to a sealing device comprising a revolving component (2) on a shaft provided with a sealing element (4) which is disposed in a recess (5) which faces and surrounds the shaft whereby the sealing element is inserted in an interlocking manner into the recess thereby completely filling said recess.
