Abstract
The invention relates to a novel reflector for mirror telescopes. Said reflector has a thin glass plate (1) which has received the necessary paraboloid shape in a negative mould. The glass plate (1) is covered with a reflective surface on at least one side and is held by a frame (2) in the region of its periphery. A number of adjusting elements (21) are positioned between the glass plate (1) and a rigid base plate (3). The distance between the glass plate (1) and the base plate (3) can be modified to a certain extent, using said adjusting elements. This permits the focussing of the focal point to be improved and corrected.
