DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION As shown in FIGS. 1-3, a wrench 10 of the first preferred embodiment of the present invention is composed of a fixed member 12 and a movable member 14 fastened pivotally with the fixed member 12.
The fixed member 12 is of a flat rod-shaped construction and is :provided with two wide sides 20, two narrow sides 21, a first clamping portion 22, a first pivoting portion 23 and a grip portion 24. The first '.."pivoting portion 23 is provided at the center thereof with a first pivoting .o hole 25 which is extended through the wide sides The fixed member 12 is characterized in design in that it is "provided with a pivoting slot 26 extending from the first clamping portion 22 to an adjoining area between the first pivoting portion 23 and the grip portion 24 such that the pivoting slot 26 is extended through the Snarrow sides 21. Moreover, the first clamping portion 22 is provided with a stopping block 27 for confining the range in which the movable member 14 can be swiveled. The pivoting slot 26 has a first inner side and a second inner side, which are corresponding to the wide sides of the fixed member 12.
The movable member 14 has a curved second clamping portion a second pivoting portion 42 made integrally with the second clamping portion 40, and a connection member 41. The second clamping portion can be swiveled along the longitudinal direction of the connection member 41 such that the distance between the inner side of the second clamping portion 40 and the outer side of the first clamping portion 22 may be changed slightly for holding a bolt head or nut The movable member 14 is characterized in design in that the second clamping portion 40 has a thickness D1 which is equal to the thickness D2 of the first clamping portion 22 of the fixed member 12, and that the second pivoting portion 42 has a thickness which is smaller than the thickness of the second clamping portion 40 and is about equal io to the width of the pivoting slot 26.
o *o The wrench 10 of the present invention is capable of holding and turning a nut 50 which is relatively thin and fastened securely onto a surface 51. In operation, the first clamping portion 22 and the second *oo.
clamping portion 40 are attached to the surface 51 such that the nut 50 is 1 held securely by the clamping portions 22 and 40. A pipe can be also held securely by the clamping portions 22 and shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, the pivoting portion 23 of the fixed member 12 is provided with a round pivoting hole 251 and an elongate pivoting hole 252. A connection member 41 of a rivetlike construction is 1o provided with a head 411, a round columnar portion 412 and a flat columnar portion 413. The connection member 41 is movably engaged with the round pivoting hole 251 and the elongate pivoting hole 252 such that the end of the flat columnar portion 413 is enlarged to become a tail end 414, and that the connection member 41 can be moved- back Xand forth between a first position and a second position.
