Abstract
Copolymers of propylene with other alk-1-enes, obtainable by polymerising a mixture of propylene and other alk-1-enes from the gas phase in the absence of a liquid reaction medium at a pressure of from 15 to 30 bar, a temperature of from 60 to 90 DEG C and a mean residence time of the polymer of from 1 to 5 hours, with the aid of a Ziegler-Natta catalyst system containing an aluminium component and an electron-donor component in addition to a titanium-containing solid component, the temperature in each case being selected at a sufficiently high level, at the prespecified pressure, so the monomer mixture does not condense in the gas space, and the ratio between the partial pressures of propylene and the other alk-1-enes is from 5:1 to 100:1. The copolymers according to the invention are particularly suitable for the production of films and moulding compositions.
