Due to the call of re-cycling most local council% now supply householders with 2 3 and in sorn shires 4 plastic moulded wheelie bins. A minimum ortwo bills arc now required by local councils to be transferred to the kcTh s4ide on a nominated night each week for next day collection, making a once simpic task now douhle the time and etfort.
The object of this invention is to make convenient through this unique external hooked bar attached to the handles of two wheelie bins, the conveying of both wheelie bins required at kerb side on such nominated night a more simple, convenient and more timle saving practice.
This invcntion relates to a Formed or moulded one piece hook bar which will be attached externallIy to the hand les of two moulded wheel ie garbage or rnaIl-a-bi ns. This external hook is novel and useful in enabling the householder to ccrnvLY the wheelie bins which are to be transferred from the fill position tu the kerb side im~ultuneousIy for rubbish removal truck, The wheclie bins arc placed one in front of the other where they will be attached together by the invention 'bin fin a.ger' asshown in figure 4 and figure 7.
A general statement of this invention is that it is to facilitate the movement of two wheelic bins in a 'piggy back' fashio n. simultaneously from point to point.
The particular invention is shown in the attached drawings on page 5 and page 6, Figure shows a standard plastic roller bin with one end of hook 17 hooked onto handle 19 of bin Id which will remain there at the users discretion. rfigure 6 shows an identical roller bin to which is attached the other end of the hook 17 to handle 18. Figures 2 and 3 show partial front and side elevations of a formed hook end, xAN/ 02 Anr-C:'Dr Tn 21 11-1 P~7 1~99 ON XH/XI] RT:LO (ISM TO, RO/6H The best method of' carrying out this invention is to slide hook 16 onto handle 19 of rear bin 14 after bin 14 has been positioned behind front bin 13. The front of bar 17 is raised to allow hook 15 to hook over handle 19 of bin 13 by then lowering bar 17 so as to lock onto handle *18. The two bini will now be locked topethcr shown in figures 4 and 7. This hook is to be shaped and manufactured from, suftiicidly strong material to providc suificient strength to SUpport the fully laden hu ng wheel ic bin 13. It is preferred that the hook bar shall bc manufactured from 6mm %tecl flat bar, although Steel round bar or strengthened MOUlded plastics could achievc the strength required.
