Overview This invention relates to an improvement in syringes.
Current syringes have a scale that is printed or etched on to the tube of the syringe indicating the volume contained within. This volume is measured off by the relative calibrated location of the tip of the plunger against the markings on the tube of the syringe.
If the tube of the syringe is covered for any reason the person using the syringe can not read the scale and therefore can not accurately determine the volume contained in the syringe.
When the tube of the reverse reading syringe is covered, the volume in the syringe can be determined by using the calibrated location of the marks on the plunger against the end of the tube of the syringe.
The reverse reading syringe can have its volume accurately determined without *the need to see the tube of the syringe.
Volume can be determined with the complete tube of the syringe covered or immersed in various other apparatus or handling equipment.
The reverse reading syringe can be created by manufacturing the syringe plunger with the markings etched or printed on at the time of manufacture, or these can be added in the form of a purpose printed sticker after manufacture.
