Patents Act 1990 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION PETTY PATENT A PORTABLE RESULTS ANALYSER FOR GOLD LOTTO, OZ LOTTO, The POOLS AND POWERBALL The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me: A portable results analyser for Gold Lotto, Oz Lotto, The Pools and Powerball This invention relates to the use of a scanning device and a simple key pad and numerical analiser in order to determine if specified numbers are present in the games to be anr. Jed. Gold Lotto and Oz Lotto are generic names for identical games played in different Australian States.
Many people experience difficulties in checking how their 'numbers' match to the winning numbers. There are numerous reasons, such as: a) poor eyesight; b) impaired intellect; c) time; and d)complexity Mistakes are no doubt made during the checking process and if registration cards are not used when purchasing personal selections or entries then the player will not be advised if his selections are successful. Players can check the results by way of scanners at Point of Sale sites but most players wish to quickly check results in their homes.
These problems are overcome by a personal scanner/number analyser which is powered by batteries or household electricity. The processor using this device involves the player inputting the winning numbers and then inserting the entry form into the scanner. The input pad, scanner and the numeric analyser form the device. The device does not determine if a win has resulted as different games have different rules. It simply indicates whether a player's selections in any game match any of the winning numbers.
To assist with understanding the invention reference may be made to the accompanying drawing and examples will be described for checking Gold Lotto, Oz Lotto, The Pools and Powerball.

11' Numbercheckina. The player inserts his entry form into the device scanner. The device reader assigns a numeric or alpha sequence to each of the players games and checks the selections in each game against the winning numbers.
Device display.
For example, (Game 3) 6, 15, and S20 would mean that in game 3 the player achieved a match with two mainline numbers and one supplementary number.
(Game 7) 45 would mean that in game 7 there was a match of 1 mainline number.
The POOLS Example The same process is followed as for Gold Lotto and Oz Lotto except that only one supplementary number is entered with the winning numbers as this is the structure of the Game.
Powerball Example Data Inputtina. Again the Draw number and Draw date are not entered.
