Description
IMPROVEMENT FOR GOLF GLOVE BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention This invention relates to an improvement for golf glove and particularly to a golf glove that has five rows of spaced ridges on the palm side of the glove to facilitate gripping of a golf club.
2. Description of the Prior Art Golf is a very popular sport nowadays. Golf glove is one of essential outfits to play golf. A conventional golf glove mainly aims to provide impact buffer between user's hand and the club when striking a ball. No other function has been seriously considered. To a novice golfer, how to hold the grip of the golf club correctly is an important lesson. To experienced golfers, to maintain the golf glove dry and good condition is important to play the game well. Wet or damp glove resulting from rain or sweat becomes slippery and makes control of club handing difficult.
Conventional golf glove has no effective way to resolve this problem as yet.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION In view of aforesaid disadvantages, it is therefore an object of this 0 invention to provide a golf glove that has a plural number of spaced ridges on the palm side of the glove to help user to hold the grip of a golf club correctly and easily.
It is another object of this invention to provide a golf glove that has ridged surface on the palm side so that a user may hold the grip of a golf club securely and steadily without slipping even when the glove is wet or damp.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING The invention, as well as its many advantages, may be further understood by the following detailed description and drawings in which: FIG. 1 is a pictorial view of this invention.
FIG. 2 is a schematic sectional view of this invention in use, when a user's hand is in the glove holding the grip of a golf club.
FIG. 3A to 3D are fragmentary sectional view of various embodiments of a ridge on a golf glove according to this invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED
EMBODIMENT
Referring to FIG. 1, the golf glove 1 according to this invention has a plural number of transverse ridges formed on the palm surface of the glove.
The ridges are spaced from each other, including a first row ridge 31 formed on the glove surface for the index finger 22, middle finger 23, third finger 24 and fourth finger 25 at an upper portion thereof, a second row S ridge 32 for the index finger 22, middle finger 23, third finger 24 and fourth finger 25 near the palm section, a third row ridge 33 formed across an upper o00 portion of the palm section, a fourth row ridge 34 formed across at a middle portion of the palm section and a fifth row ridge 35 formed across at a lower 0 0o15 portion of the palm section with an end extending to the second knuckle 00 location of the thumb 21. All the ridges have a curved connection with the glove surface.
When in use, a golfer's hand puts on the golf glove and holds the grip of the club (shown in FIG. The transverse direction of the ridges is aligned with golf club while the ridges make close contact with the grip.
The golfer thus may hold the golf club steadily and correctly. It is also helpful when the glove is damp because of user's sweat in sunny day or wet in rainy day.
FIGs. 3A through 3D show various preferable forms of the ridge. FIG.
3A shows a convex type ridge. FIG. 3B shows a triangle type ridge with a smooth tip. FIG. 3C shows a rectangular type ridge with smooth edges. FIG.
3D shows a slant triangle type ridge.
It may thus be seen that the objects of the present invention set forth herein, as well as those made apparent from the foregoing description, are efficiently attained. While the preferred embodiments of the invention have been set forth for purpose of disclosure, modifications of the disclosed embodiment of the invention as well as other embodiments thereof may occur to those skilled in the art. Accordingly, the appended claims are intended to cover all embodiments which do not depart from the spirit and scope of the invention.
