Abstract
A hormonal agent for the treatment of acne with two spatially separated hormonal components fitted separately in a packaging unit and intended for administration sequentially in time, consisting of a number of hormonal daily units arranged spatially separately in and individually removable from the packaging unit, a first hormonal component essentially containing as the hormonal active agent only an oestrogen preparation causing an increase in the sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) and the second hormone component containing an oestrogen and an anti-androgen preparation in combination, characterized in that the total number of daily units is equal to the total number of days in the desired cycle, in that the first hormone component comprises 5 to 14 and the second hormone component 23 to 14 daily units, and in that the number of daily units of the first hormone component is smaller than that of the second hormone component. The invention also concerns the use of this hormonal agent.
