The invention is a device described as an anal pad that has two distinct purposes: 1. It is used to prevent the involuntary expulsion of stomach gas through the anus.
2. It is used to prevent protrusion from the anal passage of haemorrhoidal veins.
Description Of The Device.
The device is the approximate size and shape of a cigarette, varying slightly in length and diameter according to the needs of the wearer, and measuring approximately ten to twenty millimetres in diameter and from approximately eighty to one hundred and fifty millimetres in length.
The outer surface of the device is silk-like and the device is soft and flexible but firm enough not to lose its shape when in use.
It is designed to be placed firmly between the buttocks, pressure being applied by hand particularly over the anus. The device is kept in place by muscular pressure of the buttocks.
:The device can be manufactured of various materials, such as cotton wool, i.••:which is formed into the required shape. It is biodegradable. It provides protection against staining of wearers undergarments. It is not designed to enter into the anal canal.
