Abstract

The invention relates to a method for generating a three-dimensionally viewable film sequence (3D-film sequence) from a film comprising several sequentially arranged single pictures intended for two-dimensional viewing. Excerpts of the film are selected taking into consideration pre-defined selection criteria and the selected excerpts are mixed to produce a 3D-film sequence. A minimum selection criterion is at least provided in such a way that individual pictures pertaining to an excerpt have at least two reference objects which are each located in different viewing planes situated within a viewing space and exhibit a relative movement parallel to each other in an essentially horizontal direction within said excerpt.
