7015 7015 Complete Specification for the invention entitled: ROTARY CLOTHES LflINE, WALL AND STANCHION TABLE The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me:-* 'Note: The description is to be typed in double spacing, pica type face, in an area not exceeding 250 mm in depth and 160 mm in width, on tough white paper of good quality and it is to be inserted inside this form.
11710O/76-L C.I.TOmpsoi, Commonwealthi Governmnt Printer, Canbeerra The present invention relates to a portable, foldable table which by use of a saddle bracket affixed to chosen wall or stanchion said table may be utilised to suit users requirements.
Whilst the inventicon was developed primarily for use on a clothes line stanchion it will be appreciated that it is not limited to this application.
The popular rotary clothes hoists found in most suburban properties .o provides a firm vertical stanchion and the fitting of a saddle bracket to said stanchion creates a base on which to attach and utilise the invention, a portable collapsible table in singular or dual mode. By supplying or transferring suitable saddle brackets to alternative chosen positions on interior or exterior walls, parking meters, vehicles, caravans or the like, the tables use as desks, work benches and the like is unlimited.
The folded compactness of the invention allows it to remain on saddle brackets in a closed mode, or stowed without undue intrusion on possible limited space, lowered it does not impede the use of clothes hoist crank .handle. In use the supporting leg design does not intrude on floor cleaning operations when table is used in semi permanent situations to support 8. displays, computers, television or the like, nor does it restrict a seated users leg or knee room to any extent.
An easily fitted insect netting support frame is also described.
An object of the invention is to provide a portable foldable table having various of the features set out heretobefore.
The invention includes a protable foldable table including a bracket to be secured to a stanchion or vertical support and having an outwardly directed -lasaddle and a table member having a cross bar pivotally connected adiacent one side thereof to the under surface thereof which cross bar is adapted to a portable foldable table including a bracket to be secured to a stanchion or vertical support and having an outwardly directed saddle and a table member having a cross bar pivotally connected adjacent one side thereof to the under surface thereof which cross bar is adapted to be received in the saddle to permit the table member to be rotated thereabout between an extended position and a position substantially at right angles thereto, a rod attached to the cross bar and extending outwardly therefrom and being S- o adapted to abut or be removably connected to the stanchion or support beneath the bracket and having rotatably mounted adjacent the free end thereof a strut which is biased to extend outwardly and terminate beneath the table member when the table is in an extended positon but which strut can be rotated against its bias so that it can assume a position in a plane parallel to the plane of the underside of the table when the table is at a o"6° right angle to its extended position.

.,Figure 4: is a pe-spective view of netting support Sframe in dual stanchion or singular wall usage.
Figure 4A: is an elevation showing method of clamping netting support frame to stanchion.
In its preferred form the invention consists of a 20 saddle bracket fitted to a chosen support and a table top of chosen design and material, attached by hinges to horizontal cross bar at the centre of said bar is formed the vertical leg shaft/(7) to which the hinged dual leg assembly/(3) ie-attached. A magnetized support foot is fitted to the -2-
IAI;
L L fwH lower extremity of said leg shaft and both retains leg assembly and forms the lower support against chosen structure bearing area may be enlarged to suit.
To operate: Vertical folded table assembly is fitted as in Fig. 1 and placed so that the exposed area of cross bar locates evenly in saddles lower support foot will automatically locate against support structure Table is arced outward and upward 900 Figure 1, spring impels dual legs to travel outward 450 and locate in safety recess's which assists pin in support foot to limit further travel on oscillation. As table top is rotated upward the 600. safety locking plates move under saddles and lock table securely to saddle bracket.
To lower: Slightly lift leading table edge to clear 0 0 0o 0 leg tops from recess's, then pull handle of leg return device o ao (11) from A to B Figure 2 and lower table to stow position.
An insect net support frame (12) is designed in two sections and may be used dually on a stanchion or singularly on a wall Figure 4. The net frame consists of a foam lined arc (13) and skeletal frame (12) shaped to suit table Figure 4.
Holding frame halves at desired location round stanchion, hooks (14) are engaged through eyes (15) and a light downward pressure at outer ends will compress foam insert until spring clip (16) engages tab (17) and locks to said stanchion, top edge of netting (19) is then affixed to netting loops (18) and draped over table where elastic in lower hem terminates in hooks and eyes to retain lower edge below table. When table is used in wall mode, half of the netting frame may be hung on wall hooks and used in the manner described Figure 4.

Saddle brackets may be incorporated at stanchions production, built in or attached to flush supporting fixtures, an adjustable quick release saddle fixture will suffice for occasional use at varying locations.
Other shapes and styles or materials used in manufacture are also possible without departing from the scope of the invention.
