Abstract
The invention relates to an insulating element (1) consisting of mineral fibres, especially rock wool fibres, that are bound with binders. The insulating element is configured as a panel with an essentially cuboidal shape and therefore has two large surfaces (2) situated parallel to each other, two longitudinal sides (3) that extend in the longitudinal direction of the surfaces (2) and two narrow sides (4). The large surfaces (2) are essentially at right angles to the longitudinal sides (3) and the narrow sides (4) and the longitudinal sides (3) are essentially at right angles to the narrow sides (4). The material properties and processing parameters of the inventive insulating element (1) are easily identifiable, even in a stacked state and especially, in a pack containing a film. To this end, a marking (5) identifying the material properties and/or dimensions of the panel is situated on at least one narrow side (4) and/or longitudinal side (3). Said marking consists of lines (6, 7, 8) extending at right angles to the large surfaces (2) and/or intersecting each other at an angle.
