Abstract

1. Tetrahydroquinolin-1-ylcarbonylimidazole derivatives of the general formula (I) see diagramm : EP0173208,P17,F1 in which X denotes a halogen atom, a C1- to C4 -alkyl group, a nitro group, a cyano group, a trifluoromethyl group, a C1 - to C4 -alkoxy group which may be substituted by a halogen atom, a C1 to C4 -alkylthio group which may be substituted by a halogen atom, a C1 - to C4 -alkylsulphonyl group, a phenyl group, a phenylthio group which may be substituted by a halogen atom, or a phenoxy group which may be substituted by at least one substituent selected from the class comprising a halogen atom, a trifluoromethyl group, a nitro group and C1 - to C4 -alkyl groups, and n denotes 1, 2 or 3, and, if n is 2 or 3, the two or three substitutents denoted by X may de identical or different and two substituents X, together with the carbon atoms in position 7 and 8 of the tetrahydroquinoline ring, can form a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon ring having 5 to 6 carbon atoms, with the proviso that if n is 1, X is not a chlorine atom, and if n is 2 or 3, all X are not simultaneously chlorine atoms.
