io Invention Title: Back Pack Trolley The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me: The invention relates to a device called "Back Pack Trolley" which may be used for conveying a load for traveler, or everyday use as a device to convey and transport a load by a user.
There are three types of products existing in the market which can be used to carry a load, but different way to this new invention called Back Pack Trolley. The Back Pack Trolley can provide improvement for transporting a load. The existing products are, the Backpack, and the Trolley, and the Trolley Back Luggage which have the problems as follows: Problems with Backpack Page 2 of 13 The major problems with backpack are that the backpack has a load where the weight of the load is carried by the user on the user's back, shoulders, and spine. These create the following problems: 1. The user will have sore back and shoulders, body, and spine after carrying the backpack for a while, or a short time.
2. The user will get tired very quickly because of the full load and the weight of the backpack exerted on the user's body, that is the user's back, shoulders and whole body.
3. The user can not walk for along distance because of the heavy load ooooo and the weight of the backpack plus the load into the backpack will cause pain and tiredness to the user's back, shoulders, spine, and body because of the heavy weight of the backpack and its load.
4. A user who is not fit, and/or who is female and! or at an older age will oo. experience problems as described in and above more and more the longer s/he carry the backpack.
A backpack is not suitable to be use with a trolley because of its large S"size, and is not easy to move around with a trolley.
2 Problems with Trolley The problems with the existing trolley are that trolley can not carry a backpack conveniently, and is not suitable for long distance walk, or large luggage. The general problems with trolley can be listed below: 1. Not easy to move about with the large luggage or backpack; 2. Not suitable for backpack; 3. Not suitable for long distance travel; Page 3 of 13 4. Not suitable for bush walking; Not suitable for un-even and/or not flat surface; 6. Not suitable for carrying load on snow or icy surfaces.
7. Not suitable for carrying load on hilly or mountain road.
8. Not suitable for cross-country travelling; 9. Not convenient for frequently everyday use with a bag or luggage or other travel goods.
convenient and easily move about and around with a load on it.
11 .Not convenient and suitable and easy for user to board train, car, or bus.
0 Page 4 of 13 Problems with Trolley Bag/ Luggage The problems with the existing trolley are that trolley bag or trolley luggage is that they are simply a bag or a luggage with wheels attached to it. The wheels of the trolley bag or luggage are small, and not suitable for outdoor use, but more suitable for indoor use. A trolley back is not suitable for use with long walk because of the small wheels, and not easy to pull along, especially on out door surface such as the road, or on grasses, or un-even or flat surface. It can not be convenient or comfortably carry on the back and has the same problem with a backpack because of the full weight being carried on the user's body when it is .:o.oi .carried on the user's back and shoulders.
15 Solution to the above problems o• oT he above problems can be solved and taken care of with the new invention of the Back Pack Trolley. The new invention of the Back Pack "Trolley, from now on, is called the Device.
The Device can carry a load in it, either by strapping to it, or by put a load inside of it. When a user uses the Device to convey or transport a load, the complete weight of the load is not exerted on the body or any part of the user but on the Device. The Device is designed such that it has wheel(s) so that Device can be pulled by the user. While the weight of the load is carried by the Device, the user just pulls the Device, with the help of strapping from the Device to the user, so that the action of carrying the load now is from actually carrying the full weight of the load, the user just pulls the load on the Device. This action of pulling, with the help of Page 5 of 13 wheel(s) or similar means, reduces the load, and weight on the back, shoulders, and body of the user. Since the Device is strapped to the user, whenever the user move, the Device follows, thus the user needs minimum effort to carry the load, and have much freedom of movement with the Device. The user does not actually carry the load, but pull the load. Thus by using the Device, the user can avoid tiredness, sore back and aching shoulders because of no weight being carry by the user.
The Back Pack Trolley can have various optional features.
In one form of the invention, the Device has a compartment such as a bag attached to it so that a load or objects can be put into it.
In another form of the invention, the Device has no compartment but has a holding extended arm such that an external bag, a backpack, or similar 0* °0 mean of carrying a load or objects can be attached to the arm, and then the frame, and thus the Device, so that a load can be carried by the Device.
20 The Device can be folded, extended, contracted either for storage and/ or to suit the user's desired adjustment of height and length.
The Device can have either fixed or detachable means such as a wheel, or wheels, for ease movement on any ground surfaces, either on hilly, flat or non-flat surfaces.
The Device, when the frame is folded or contracted up, can be used as a backpack to carry a load as a normal backpack.
Page 6 of 13 The Device, when the frame is folded or contracted up, can also be used as a trolley, with, for example, a wheel, or wheels attached at its lower end.
The Device can, after being folded, or contracted, be used as a horizontal trolley, that it, for example, if the backpack is attached to it, the back part of the backpack is horizontal to the ground surface, as opposed to the vertical to the ground surface as that of the trolley mentioned above, with either additional wheel(s) attached to the opposite or top end of the frame so that the Device can be dragged along the ground surface by the user, via a handle or a string attached to this end of the frame.
.ooooi At the lower end of the frame, where, for example, a wheel, or wheels, or glider(s), Castors, rollers, or similar devices to assist the movement of the frame in a smooth way, can be attached to this end of the frame.
The frame can be constructed out of tubes, moulded plastic, metal, alloy, timber or any material suitable and with enough strength to support a .ooooi S"desired load attached to the Device.
The device has the following advantages: a) The load is NOT carried on a user's back, the shoulders, and the spine.
b) The user purely PULLS the load via the strap from the Device c) The Device can be moved on the ground surface with a wheel(s), attached to the lower end of Device.
d) The user can have more freedom of movement while carrying a load with the use of the Device.
Page 7 of 13 e) The User can travel long distance with a load using the Device, without getting tired, soar back and /or shoulders, as comparing to another travel goods such as a trolley or a backpack.
f) The device can be used with any load which can be packed, or attached to the Back Pack Trolley.
g) The load can be a bag, a backpack, a luggage, or travel goods, or any load which can be loaded into, or onto, or attached to the Device.
h) A user while conveying a load using the Device, can avoid tiredness, injuries, soar back, and aching shoulders, as compare to using other devices for travelling or carrying a load.
The application of the device can be described as follow, but not limited to only those listed below: 1. For Travelling, camping, and hiking.
2. For carrying School bag 3. For carrying travel goods such as luggage, backpack, bags 4. Suitable for city and bush walking 5. Suitable for the army and/or military for with large and heavy load 9fl Page 8 of 13 Drawing To assist with the understanding of the invention, reference will now be made to the accompanying drawing which show one example of the invention.
In the drawings: Fig 1 shows one example of a Back Pack Trolley according to this invention.
1. Top of frame, which has 2. A holding arm.
3. Adjustable part of Frame 4. Wheel, or wheels, or other means for smoothly or easily move on 15 ground surfaces, attached to the lower end of the frame.
5. Straps 6. A bag, or a compartment, or a container, where a load, or objects can be put into the Device.
7. Back Pack Trolley straps Fig 2 shows the application of such Back Pack Trolley
