Abstract
The invention relates to multi-metal cyanide compounds of the general formula (I). In said formula: M<1> represents at least one metal ion, selected from the group containing Zn<2+>, Fe<2+>, Co<3+>, Ni<2+>, Mn<2+>, Pb<2+>, Fe<3+>, Mo<4+>, Mo<6+>, Al<3+>, V<5+>, Sr<2+>, W<4+>, W<6+>, Cu<2+>, Cr<2+>, Cr<3+>, Cd<2+>, Hg<2+>, Pd<2+>, Pt<2+>, V<2+>, Mg<2+>, Ca<2+>, Ba<2+>; M<2> represents at least one metal ion, selected from the group containing Fe<2+>, Fe<3+>, Co<3+>, Cr<3+>, Mn<2+>, Mn<3+>, Rh<3+>, Ru<2+>, Ru<3+>, V<4+>, V<5+>, Co<2+>, Ir<3+> and Cr<2+> and M<2> is different from M<1>; X represents at least one anion, selected from the group containing halide, hydroxide, sulphate, carbonate, cyanide, thiocyanate, isocyanate, carboxylate, in particular, formiate, acetate, propionate, oxalate, nitrate; A represents at least one anion, selected from the group containing halide, hydroxide, sulphate, carbonate, cyanate, thiocyanate, isocyanate, carboxylate or nitrate, in particular, cyanide; a, b, c and d are whole or fractional numbers which are selected in such a way, that the electroneutrality of the cyanide compound is guaranteed, whereby a, b and d are greater than zero and c is greater than or equal to zero; e is a whole or fractional number greater than zero and h is a whole or fractional number greater than or equal to zero; and f and g are whole or fractional numbers which are selected in such a way that the electroneutrality of M<1>fXg is guaranteed.
