Abstract

The invention relates to a method for providing polymer substrates with an antimicrobial coating by immobilizing antimicrobial polymers on their surface. The antimicrobial polymers can contain nitrogen groups, especially quaternary nitrogen groups or poly-ter. butylaminoethylmethacrylate. The polymer substrates that are coated according to the invention are suitable for use in the area of hygiene.
