Abstract

The invention relates to a CD drive (2) comprising a carrier (3) which can be moved into and out of said CD drive and a screen (5) which closes the closed CD drive from the outside. According to the invention, a transparent medium (7) is provided in said screen (5). It can be detected from the outside if a CD is situated in the carrier (3) or not by means of said medium.
