Abstract

The invention relates to a press for the treatment of materials such as refuse or waste which are divided into pieces, comprising an extrusion chamber (5) which is pierced by radial extrusion orifices, a pressure piston (19) which is adapted in such a way that it can be deployed in the extrusion chamber (5) until a predetermined pressure is obtained, a moveable obturator which is adapted in such a way that it can move alternately between a position in which it obturates the surface of the extrusion chamber (5) opposite the pressure piston (19), wherein it rests against an element (1) of the frame of the press, and a position in which it opens said surface, in addition to means (17,18) for axial displacement of the extrusion chamber (5) along the pressure piston which is disposed in a position of deployment between a sealing position in which said extrusion chamber is placed against the obturator (21) and an extraction position in which it is displaced axially at a given distance from the obturator.
