Applicant: David Auricht Address P.O. Box 414 MIERBEIN VIC 3505 Invention Title Contact Phone No.
SAW TABLE 0409 502924 (Signature) (Date) The invention is described in the following statement: 0C 2 SAW TABLE
OBJECT:
The object of the present invention is to provide a means of universally mounting Mitre or Compound Saws or similar tools of any make onto a foldable table, that could be easily assembled and dismantled.
STATEMENT OF CLAIMS: The present invention is a foldable table that would provide for a mitre or compound saw to be mounted firmly upon it. It may be designed as a crossed framed folding table or have vertical beam for legs with height adjustability. It would be easily carried and stored due to the table consisting of lightweight material and its foldability which takes less time in setting up or dismatling in comparision to normal methods.
The assembled Saw Table will be stable and provide a flat surface upon which a Mitre of Compound Saw could be mounted. The saw will be placed on the Saw Table and clamped on by the appropriate clamps. Once the saw is secured by the clamps, it can be put to use as normal. The Clamping devices may not have to be utilised depending upon the nature of the tool or work, e.g. lighter tools may not need to be secured.
The present invention is manufactured form light weight aluminium or any S"other suitable materials and can be sized to suit any application.
This invention is not limited to the description herein, but is also aligned to any other suitable modification and therefore still embodying the invention of a foldable table for mounting a power tool, or for any other general work table use.
3 The present invention will be better understood and appreciated from the following discussion of the features of a preferred embodiment. Reference is made to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 depicts an isometric view of the present invention.
Figure 2 depicts enlarged detail of this invention.
Figure 3 depicts three front views of the present invention as it collapses.
Referring to Figure 1, there is shown an isometric view of the Saw Table with Spacers and Clamps holding the Mitre Saw in place between the two Table Tops (2a and The inventions collapsible frame consisting of Collapsible Legs Adjustable Support Rods Support Arms Horizontal Rods Sliding Stops and Sliding Rods (11).
20 Referring to Figure 2, there is shown enlarged detail of the Sliding Rods (11) and Sliding Stops (10) which enable the user to easily cut multiple lengths of a material. For materials longer than the present invention an extra table can be added to enable easier cutting and manipulation of materials.
Referring to Figure there is shown a front view of the assembled Saw Table showing the major Pivot Points (12), Table Top (2a Collapsible Legs Adjustable Support Rods Support Arm and Horizontal Rods(8).
Referring to Figure 3(ii) and (iii), there is shown the above components as they collapse into a manageable size for transport or storage.
4 it will be seen from the description above that the present invention provides a means of mounting Mitre or Compound Saws (or similar tools) of any make onto a folding table, that can be easily assembled and dismantled.
Whilst I have described in the foregoing description; preferred forms of my invention, it will be understood that modifications and alterations may be made by those skilled in the art without departing f rom the spirit and scope of my invention and I do not wish to be limited to the positive terms employed herein.
Dated this 1.day of 2000 David Auright Inventor.
In addition to Saw Table Statement of Claims.
Page 2 Paragraph The Clamping device noted may be nothing more than than a bolt and wing nut to clamp the base of saw or tool to table.
Page 3 Paragraph Let it be noted that the importance of the said invention does not require any spanners or tools to assemble or collapse into storage position.
Fig. 3 Page A: At pivot point 13 a pin or rod is inserted through collapsible legs 5 and horizontal rods 8 which holds the Table in assembled position.
Fig. 3 iii Page A: The reverse is done to achieve collapsed storage position with pin 13 A being placed through legs (5 to hold in storage position.
