Abstract

The invention relates to an information carrier (2) with at least one outer surface (3) for reading optically readable information. The aim of the invention is to improve the copy protection of such an information carrier. To this end, a transparent copy protection layer (4) is applied on the at least one outer surface (3) of the information carrier (2). Said protection layer is capable of twisting and/or filtering the polarization of the readout light.
