Description
THE CORDLESS TELEPHONE PLUG EXTENSION.
The problem with.telephon plug extensions to-date, is the large amounts of wire needed which is unsightly, difficult to set up and can be easily knocked or cut and disconnected.
The Cordless Telephone Plug Extension solves these problems. No length of wire is needed, so there is no unsightly mess. It is easy to set up and can only be disconnected if the point is knocked.
The invention consists of one or more transceivers connected to one or more telephortlines. One or more transceivers are placed-elsewhere, such that they can be connected to telephone(s) modem(s), fax(es) or any suitable device(s).
The tansqeivers transmit suitable sihal(s) between themselves, such that telephone(s) modem(s), fax(es) or suitable device(s) connected to one or more transceivers, behave as thought they were connected directly (ie by wire) to the telephone line(s). The signal(s) can be of any suitable frequency (such as radio, microwave or infra red frequency) and can be in any suitable form (such as analogue or digital).
in one from of the invention a transceiver is connected to a telephone line. The sigial(s) is/are transmitted between one other transceiver which is connected to telephone(s) modem(s), fax(es) or suitable device(s).
25 In another form of the invention a transceiver is connected to a telephone line.
The signal(s) is/are transmitted between multiple other transceivers which are connected to telephone(s) modem(s), fax(es) or suitable device(s).
In one form of the invention, the transceiver(s) uses an external power source 30 (such as mains power or batteries).
In another form of the invention the transceiver(s) draws power from the telephone line.
35 In another form of the invention the signal(s) islare encrypted or security coded to maintain security.
to assist with understanding the invention reference will now be made to the accompaning drawings.which shows examples of the invention.
In the drawings: FIG.1 Shows'one example of a Cordless Telephone Plug Extension according to this invention. A transceiver is connected to a telephone line The transceiver transmits the signal(s) between another transceiver which can be connected to telephones(s), modem(s), fax(es) or any suittlble devices FIG.2 Shows another exAmple of the invention where a transceiver (2) REX R. ROBINSON Tuesday, Nay 13, 1997 Name ofApplicant Date connected to a telephone line transmits a signal to a number of other transceivers which. can be connected to telephones(s), modem(s), fax(es) or any suitable devices It will be realised the cordless telephone plug extension is not restricted to the examples shown, but may consist or any transceiver connected to a telephone point such that a signal is transmitted to another transceiver.
