Abstract

A shell-type covering for protecting vehicles, machines or objects against floods or various splashes, is installed from the base upwards, and is characterised by a construction wherein a floor sheet (A) is sealingly connected with accordion-pleated walls (B) folded on the floor before use. In use, the covering forms a shell which can be covered by a closure sheet (E) sealingly attached to the top of the walls (B) so as to afford efficient protection against the above aggressions. The installation of the covering can be improved by means of a dismountable structure allowing the walls (B) to be erected with a single pulling action, wherein said walls (B) can be replaced by manually or automatically inflatable members connected to the floor sheet in the same way as the walls.
