Abstract

FOOD STORAGE CONTAINER ABSTRACT A food storage container includes a base tray, a cover lid, and a pull ring. The base tray includes a chamber for holding food products. The cover lid is detachably connected to the base tray to prevent spills and leaking of food. The cover lid includes a top wall and a side wall fixedly disposed around the top wall. The top wall includes an outer surface including a recess. The pull ring is connected to the cover lid and disposed on the recess of the outer surface, so that the pull ring is not higher than the top wall. [0001] The disclosure related to the field of household appliance, and more particularly, to a food storage container.
BACKGROUND
[0002] A commercially available food storage container generally includes a snap-and-lock lid that is difficult to be removed when the hot food is closed in the food container. Some food storage containers include a pull ring through which the lid can be removed easily. The pull ring, on the other hand, creates an uneven lid surface on which other food containers cannot be stacked, thus wasting space inside the kitchen cabinet.
[0003] Thus, it wound be desirable to provide a food storage container for improving space utilization.
SUMMARY
[0004] To solve the aforesaid problems, the disclosure provides a food storage container.
[0005] The food storage container comprises a base tray, a cover lid, and a pull ring; the base tray comprises a chamber for holding food products; the cover lid is detachably connected to the base tray to prevent spills and leaking of food; the cover lid comprises a top wall and a side wall fixedly disposed around the top wall; the top wall comprises an outer surface comprising a recess; the pull ring is connected to the cover lid and disposed on the recess of the outer surface, so that the pull ring is not higher than the top wall.
[0006] When not in use, the pull ring is embedded into the recess of the cover lid to form a flat outer surface so that other food containers can be stacked, thereby creating an organized kitchen cabinet.
[0007] The cover lid comprises a first lid and a second lid connected to the first lid; the first lid is connected to the pull ring; the second lid is detachably connected to the base tray.
[0008] The second lid sleeves the first lid, so that the cover lid achieves higher strength and durability.
[0009] The second lid comprises a surface close to the first lid; the food storage container further comprises a fixing member disposed on the surface of the second lid; the fixing member is disposed through the top wall and connected to the pull ring, so that the pull ring is rotatable relative to the cover lid.
[0010] The fixing member is a plastic female part for receiving the pull ring; the first lid is used to position the fixing member and prevents deformation in the fixing member. The first lid is disposed between the second lid and the pull ring; when a user pulls the pull ring vertically upward, the first lid and the second lid are removed simultaneously without being separated from each other.
[0011] The fixing member comprises two side surfaces opposite to each other; a stopped groove is disposed on each side surface and parallel to the second lid; the stopped groove comprises a first end and second end; the first end is an opening disposed at the edge of the side surface; the pull ring comprises two protrusions opposite to each other; each protrusion passes through the corresponding opening and moved along the corresponding stopped groove, so that the fixing member is disposed between the two protrusions.
[0012] The pull ring is separated from the fixing member through the openings.
[0013] The fixing member further comprises two U-shaped grooves each vertically communicating with the corresponding second end of the stopped groove.
[0014] When the pull ring is pulled upward against the force of gravity, the two protrusions move along the grooves and fixed in the U-shaped grooves, thereby ensuring a stable connection between the pull ring and the fixing member.
[0015] The food storage container further comprises two stoppers connected to the top wall and disposed opposite to the two stopped grooves, respectively.
[0016] Each stopper exerts an external force on the corresponding side of the pull ring, thereby preventing the two protrusions from sliding out of the stopped grooves.
[0017] The food storage container further comprises a plurality of reinforcing ribs disposed between the first lid and the second lid.
[0018] The plurality of reinforcing ribs constitutes a reinforcing mesh for increasing strength of the cover lid.
[0019] The cover lid further comprises a seal ring disposed between the first lid and the second lid.
[0020] The seal ring is a plastic ring that is used to increase friction between the cover lid and the base tray, thereby increasing strength of the cover lid.
[0021] The food storage container further comprises an anti-slip member fixedly disposed on an outer bottom surface of the base tray.
[0022] The anti-slip member comprises rubber that is a natural slip resistant material for preventing the base tray from sliding off a desk.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS
[0030] To further illustrate, embodiments detailing a food storage container are described below. It should be noted that the following embodiments are intended to describe and not to limit the disclosure.
Example 1
[0031] As shown in FIGS. 1-5, a food storage container 1 comprises abase tray 100, a cover lid 200, a pull ring 300; the base tray 100 comprises a chamber 110 for holding food products; the cover lid 200 is detachably connected to the base tray 100 to prevent spills and leaking of food; the cover lid 200 comprises a top wall 201 and a side wall 202 fixedly disposed around the top wall 201; the top wall 110 comprises an outer surface comprising a recess; the pull ring 300 is connected to the cover lid 200 and disposed on the recess of the outer surface, so that the pull ring 300 is not higher than the top wall.
[0032] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 5, an auxiliary ellipse on the cover lid indicates that the top wall 201 is concave toward the chamber 110. The top wall 201 is integrally formed with the side wall 202, so as to improve the visual appeal of the cover lid 200, thereby enhancing the user experience.
[0033] Whennot in use, the pullring 300 is pulled to the cover lid to forma flat outer surface on which other food containers can be stacked, thereby creating an organized kitchen cabinet.
Example 2
[0034] As shown in FIGS. 2 and 5, the cover lid 200 comprises a first lid 210 and a second lid 220 connected to the first lid 210; the first lid 210 is connected to the pull ring 300; the second lid 220 is detachably connected to the base tray.
[0035] The second lid 220 sleeves the first lid 210, so that the cover lid 200 achieves higher strength and durability.
Example 3
[0036] As shown in FIGS. 2-5, the second lid 220 comprises a surface close to the first lid 210; the food storage container further comprises a fixing member 400 disposed on the surface of the second lid 200; the fixing member 400 is disposed through the top wall 201 and connected to the pull ring 300, so that the pull ring is rotatable relative to the cover lid.
[0037] Further, the fixing member 400 is a plastic female part for receiving the pull ring; the first lid 210 is used to position the fixing member 400 and prevents deformation in the fixing member 400. The first lid 210 is disposed between the second lid 220 and the pull ring 300; when a user pulls the pull ring 300 vertically upward, the first lid and the second lid are removed simultaneously without being separated from each other.

[0041] When the pull ring 300 is pulled upward against the force of gravity, the two protrusions 310 move along the grooves 41 and fixed in the U-shaped grooves 420, thereby ensuring a stable connection between the pull ring 300 and the fixing member 400.
[0042] Further, the width of each stopped groove 410 gradually decreases from the opening 411 to the U-shaped groove 420, so that the stable connection is maintained due to increased friction between the protrusion and the groove surface.
Example 4
[0043] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 5, the food storage container 1 further comprises two stoppers 500 connected to the top wall 201 and disposed opposite to the two stopped grooves 410, respectively.
[0044] Each stopper 500 is a plastic protrusion that is integrally formed with the top wall 201 and not higher than the side wall 202. When the pull ring 300 is connected to the fixing member 400, each stopper 500 exerts an external force on the corresponding side of the pull ring 300, thereby preventing the two protrusions from sliding out of the stopped grooves 410.
[0045] Preferably, the stopper 500 is in the shape of a quarter of a rugby; the stopper and the top portion improve the visual appeal of the cover lid 200, thereby enhancing user experience.
Example 5
[0046] As shown in FIG. 2, the food storage container further comprises a plurality of reinforcing ribs 600 disposed between the first lid 210 and the second lid 220.
[0047] The plurality of reinforcing ribs 600 constitutes a reinforcing mesh for increasing strength of the cover lid 200. The plurality of reinforcing ribs 600 is hidden between the first lid 210 and the second lid 220, which makes the cover lid 200 visually appealing.
[0048] The cover lid 200 further comprises a seal ring 230 disposed between the first lid 210 and the second lid 220.
[0049] The seal ring 230 is a plastic ring that is used to increase friction between the cover lid 200 and the base tray 100, thereby increasing strength of the cover lid 200.
[0050] As shown in FIG. 6, the food storage container further comprises an anti-slip member 700 fixedly disposed on the bottom surface of the outside of the base tray 100.
[0051] The anti-slip member 700 comprises rubber that is a natural slip resistant material for preventing the base tray from sliding off a desk.
[0052] Further, the anti-slip member 700 is a square-shaped ring.
[0053] As shown in FIGS. 2 and 5, the user is easy to grab the pull ring 300 with one hand.
[0054] It will be obvious to those skilled in the art that changes and modifications may be made, and therefore, the aim in the appended claims is to cover all such changes and modifications.

Claims (9)

FOOD STORAGE CONTAINER CLAIMS
1. A food storage container, comprising: a base tray, a cover lid, and a pull ring; wherein the base tray comprises a chamber for holding food products; the cover lid is detachably connected to the base tray to prevent spills and leaking of food; the cover lid comprises a top wall and a side wall fixedly disposed around the top wall; the top wall comprises an outer surface comprising a recess; the pull ring is connected to the cover lid and disposed on the recess of the outer surface, so that the pull ring is not higher than the top wall.
2. The food storage container of claim 1, wherein the cover lid comprises a first lid and a second lid connected to the first lid; the first lid is connected to the pull ring; the second lid is detachably connected to the base tray.
3. The food storage container of claim 2, wherein the second lid comprises a surface close to the first lid; the food storage container further comprises a fixing member disposed on the surface of the second lid; the fixing member is disposed through the top wall and connected to the pull ring, so that the pull ring is rotatable relative to the cover lid.
4. The food storage container of claim 3, wherein the fixing member comprises two side surfaces opposite to each other; a stopped groove is disposed on each side surface and parallel to the second lid; the stopped groove comprises a first end and second end; the first end is an opening disposed at an edge of the side surface; the pull ring comprises two protrusions opposite to each other; each protrusion passes through a corresponding opening and moved along a corresponding stopped groove, so that the fixing member is disposed between the two protrusions.
5. The food storage container of claim 4, wherein the fixing member further comprises two U-shaped grooves each vertically communicating with a corresponding second end of the stopped groove.
6. The food storage container of claim 4, wherein the food storage container further comprises two stoppers connected to the top wall and disposed opposite to the two stopped grooves, respectively.
7. The food storage container of claim 2, wherein the food storage container further comprises a plurality of reinforcing ribs disposed between the first lid and the second lid.
8. The food storage container of claim 2, wherein the cover lid further comprises a seal ring disposed between the first lid and the second lid.
9. The food storage container of any one of claims 1-8, wherein the food storage container further comprises an anti-slip member fixedly disposed on an outer bottom surface of the base tray.
