Field of the invention
[0001] The invention relates to a mobile exercise assembly.
Background
[0002] If a person wants to perform exercises that requires a range of different exercise equipment, the person would typically need to go to a gym.
[00031 There is a need for mobile exercise assembly that enables a person to perform a range of exercises, that would otherwise be performed indoors, outdoors, or to at least provide the public with a useful choice.
Summary of the invention
[0004] According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a mobile exercise assembly comprising: a body couplable to a vehicle, the body having at least one of: at least one exercise equipment accessible from an exterior of the body, and at least one engaging portion to which an exercise equipment is removably engageable, the exercise equipment when coupled to the engaging portion being accessible from an exterior of the body.
[0005] The body preferably includes a housing for storing exercise equipment. The exercise equipment includes the exercise equipment that is accessible from the exterior of the body and exercise equipment that is only accessible within the body.
[00061 The body is preferably a trailer that is towable by a vehicle.
[00071 The body preferably includes an exterior wall portion, wherein the at least one of the exercise equipment and the engaging portion is mounted on the exterior wall portion. The body preferably further includes an awning for providing shade or cover to the user when the user accesses the exercise equipment on the exterior wall portion. The awning may be a retractable awning by way of example.
[00081 The engaging portion, in one example, may be a hook portion to which a bungee, band, or a suspension cord is removably engageable for resistance training.
[0009] The body preferably includes a plurality of engaging portions, an exercise equipment being removably engageable with a respective one of the plurality of engaging portions, wherein the engaging portions are spaced apart laterally and/or longitudinally from each other on the body. For example, the body may include a plurality of engaging portions spaced apart from each other along a first longitudinal axis and a plurality of engaging portions along a second longitudinal axis, wherein the first and second longitudinal axes are parallel and vertically spaced apart from each other.
[0010] The exercise equipment preferably includes at least one of a step, a pull-up bar, a core plate, and a bar for stretching. The exercise equipment that is stored in the body may include a cardio exercise equipment and strength exercise equipment. For example, the exercise equipment may include dumbbells, bar bells, weight plates, battle ropes, sand bags, medicine balls, slam balls, dip bar, chin up bar, steps, benches, skiing machine, an exercise bike, a fan bike (or an air bike), a rowing machine, hamstring or glute strengthening machine, skipping ropes, kettle bells, a high intensity training exercise equipment, squat or hip thrust machine, Bulgarian bags, bungees, resistance bands, resistance bands, or a base with a barbell pivotably or rotatably attached to it.

Detailed description
[0012] Figures IA and lB shows a mobile exercise assembly (or a mobile exercise facility or a mobile gym) 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention. The assembly 100 is in the form of a trailer that is couplable to a vehicle. In other examples, the assembly may be caravan trailer. Figure IA shows a first side of the trailer, while FigurelB shows an opposite second side of the trailer. The first and second sides of the trailer have exercise equipment that are accessible from an exterior of the trailer, and a plurality of engaging portions to which an exercise equipment is removably engageable, the exercise equipment when coupled to the engaging portion being accessible from an exterior of the trailer.
[00131 The assembly 100 has a body 110 with a tow-coupling (not shown) for coupling the assembly to a vehicle. In a preferred embodiment, the body is about 4.5m long, about 2.2m high, and about 2.5m wide. In other embodiments, the body may be up at least 2.0m long, at least 3.0m long, at least 4.0m long, or up to at least 7.0m long. In other embodiments, the body may be at least1.0m high, at least 1.5m high, at least 2.Om high, or up to at least 3m high. In other embodiments, the body may be at least 1.Om wide, at least 1.5m wide, at least 2.Om wide, or up to at least 4m wide. The body 110 is a housing in which exercise equipment can be stored. The body 110 has a first side wall portion, a second side wall portion, a top wall portion, bottom wall portion, front wall portion and a rear wall portion defining an enclosure of the housing. A door is provided on the rear wall of portion of the body. In other examples, the door or an additional door could be provided on the first or second side wall portion or on any of the other wall portions. The body preferably further includes an awning or a roof portion for providing shade or cover to the user when the user accesses the exercise equipment on the exterior wall portion. The awning may be a retractable awning by way of example.
[0014] The body comprises a shell or frame formed of reinforced steel to accommodate the weight applied to the exercise equipment that is mounted on the exterior and/or interior walls of the body. In other examples, the body may comprise other reinforced shell or reinforced frame structures. In a preferred embodiment, the body comprises a plurality of spaced apart columns on opposite sides of the body, between a roof portion of the body and the floor portion of the body. For example, the body may comprise at least six columns on each side of the trailer. Adjacent columns are be spaced apart from each other by about 40cm. In other examples, adjacent columns are spaced apart from each other by at least about 20cm, at least about 30cm, or up to about 50cm. In other examples, each side may comprise at least three spaced apart columns, at least four spaced apart columns, or at least eight spaced apart columns.
[0015] The first side wall portion of the body, as shown in Figure IA has a plurality of exercise equipment and engaging portions 120 mounted on a exterior surface thereof.
[00161 With reference to Figure IA, the first side wall portion has four spaced apart coupling portions (or engaging portions) 120 at an upper region of the first side wall portion. The coupling portions 120 are fixedly attached to the body. For example, the coupling portions 120 may be welded to an exterior of the body or securely fastened to the body (e.g. using bolts, screws, or rivets or lashings). A bungee, band, or a suspension cord for resistance training is removably engageable with a respective one of the coupling portions. The coupling portion may be a hook portion for example. The exercise equipment that is removably engageable with the coupling portion at the upper region of the first side wall portion may be primarily for upper body exercises (e.g. back exercises, chest exercises, and should exercises). Each coupling portion will allow the user to train all body parts and has a weight distribution engineered to hold up to 150kg from each section.
[00171 The exercise equipment on the first side wall portion includes steps 130 provided at a rear lower region of the first side wall portion. In the example shown in Figure IA, the first wall portion includes two, laterally and vertically spaced apart, steps. In other examples, the first wall portion may include one step or more than two steps. The steps may be for primarily for leg exercises or for inclined push-ups for example. In some examples, the steps may be retractable and configured to fold out from a position underneath the body so that the steps extend outwardly from the first side wall portion. Steps may additionally or alternatively provided on a draw bar of the trailer between the tow-coupling and the body.
[00181 The exercise equipment on the first side wall includes a core plate positioned at a forward lower region of the first side wall portion. A barbell is locatable in the core plate for core exercises. In particular, the core plate is a base or frame that is mountable to the side wall has a barbell that is pivotably or rotatably mounted to the base or frame.
[0019] The exercise equipment on the first side wall portion includes a pull up bar 150 located at an upper region of the first side wall portion and a stretch bar 150 located substantially near a middle of the body 110. The bar is an elongate member with a length that is along the first side wall portion. The exercise equipment of the first side wall portion additionally includes a dip bar. In some examples, one or more of the bars such as the pull up bar, the stretch bar and/or the dip bar may be retractable through doors formed in the first side wall portion. In one embodiment, the doors may be lockable when the respective bars are retracted.
[0020] With reference to Figure IB, the second side wall portion has a plurality of spaced apart coupling portions 120. Similar to the coupling portions on the first side wall portion, each coupling portion 120 on the second side wall portion can be removably engaged by a bungee, band, or a suspension cord for resistance training is removably engageable with a respective one of the coupling portions. The coupling portions 120 on the second side wall are distributed vertically and laterally from each other on the second side wall portion. In the example shown in Figure IB, the coupling portions include four laterally spaced apart coupling portions at an upper region of the second side wall portion, four laterally spaced apart coupling portions at a mid-region of the second side wall portion, and two laterally spaced apart coupling portions at a lower region of the second side wall portion. Each coupling portion will allow the user to train all body parts and has a weight distribution engineered to hold up to 150kg from each section. In other examples, the first and second side wall portion may have any number of coupling portions. The coupling portions may be removably attached to a respective side wall portion.
[0021] The second side wall portion additionally includes a rack 150 located at an upper forward region of the second side wall portion. The rack is for receiving an exercise equipment such as a pull up bar or a dip bar for example.
[0022] As previously described above, the body 110 is a housing in which exercise equipment can be stored. Exercise equipment that is stored in the trailer is fixed to the walls or floor of the body such
A that they do not move about the body as the body is moving (e.g. being towed by a vehicle). The interior views of the housing are shown in Figures 2A to 2C, where Figure 2A shows an sectional interior view in one section of the housing, Figure 2B shows a sectional interior view in another section of the housing, and Figure 2C shows a sectional top view of the housing. The exercise equipment that is stored in the body may include a cardio exercise equipment and strength exercise equipment. For example, the exercise equipment may include dumbells, bar bells, weight plates, battle ropes, sand bags, medicine balls, slam balls, dip bar, chin up bar, steps, benches, skiing machine, an exercise bike, a fan bike (or an air bike), a rowing machine, hamstring or glute strengthening machine, skipping ropes, kettle bells, a high intensity training exercise equipment, squat or hip thrust machine, Bulgarian bags, bungees, resistance bands, resistance bands, or a base with a barbell pivotably or rotatably attached to it.
[00231 The housing contains engaging portions 160 and racks 170 in which exercise equipment can be stored. The rack may, for example, be a fixed to an interior wall of the housing for storing barbells for use inside the housing or for use outside the housing. The housing further contains cupboards 180 for storing exercise equipment. In the centre section of the housing, there is provided one or more exercise equipment for use within the housing. The exercise equipment may be strength training equipment or cardio training equipment. The exercise equipment include, for example, may include a rowing machine, an exercise bike, a fan bike (or air bike), a rowing machine, a skiing machine, a hamstring or glute strengthening machine, or a step machine.
[0024] The assembly 100 allows for a variety of exercises to be performed including high intensity training, strength and conditioning training, functional training, body weight training, cardio training, mobility training, stability training and core training.
[0025] The housing additionally includes a timer for tracking time for each different set of exercise, lighting, speakers, and a tv port. The electronic equipment of the housing may be powered by solar panel or an inverter.

Claims (7)

THE CLAIMS DEFINING THE INVENTION ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1. A mobile exercise assembly comprising: a body couplable to a vehicle, the body having at least one of: at least one exercise equipment accessible from an exterior of the body, and at least one engaging portion to which an exercise equipment is removably engageable, the exercise equipment when coupled to the engaging portion being accessible from an exterior of the body.
2. The mobile exercise assembly of claim 1, wherein the body includes a housing for storing exercise equipment.
3. The mobile exercise assembly of claim 2, wherein the exercise equipment stored in the housing includes the exercise equipment that is accessible from the exterior of the body and exercise equipment that is only accessible within the body.
3. The mobile exercise assembly of claim 1 or 2, wherein the body is a trailer that is towable by a vehicle.
4. The mobile exercise assembly of any one of claim I to 3, wherein the body includes an exterior wall portion, wherein the at least one of the exercise equipment and the engaging portion is mounted on the exterior wall portion.
5. The mobile exercise assembly of any one of claims 1 to 4, wherein the engaging portion is a hook portion to which a bungee, band, or a suspension cord is removably engageable for resistance training.
6. The mobile exercise assembly of any one of claims I to 5, wherein the body includes a plurality of engaging portions, each to which an exercise equipment is removably engageable, wherein the engaging portions are spaced apart laterally and/or longitudinally from each other on the body.
7. The mobile exercise assembly of any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein the exercise equipment includes at least one of a step, a pull-up bar, a core plate, a bar for stretching, cardio exercise equipment, strength exercise equipment, dumbbells, bar bells, weight plates, battle ropes, sand bags, medicine balls, slam balls, dip bar, chin up bar, steps, benches, skiing machine, an exercise bike, a fan bike, a rowing machine, hamstring or glute strengthening machine, skipping ropes, kettle bells, a high intensity training exercise equipment, squat or hip thrust machine, Bulgarian bags, bungees, resistance bands, resistance bands, or a base with a barbell pivotably or rotatably attached to it.
