Abstract
A GAS LEAKAGE DETECTION DEVICE FOR GAS STOVE
Disclosed is a gas leakage detection device for gas stove which consists of a main unit
(100), a gas stove (101), a proximity sensor (102), for detecting the gas stove on/off, a
temperature sensor (106), measures the temperature, an LPG gas detector(107), detects the
LPG gas and a buzzer (108). The present invention detects if theflame on the burner goes
off and the temperature sensor (106) detects temperature less than the threshold
temperature then the LPG gas detector (107) checks forany leakage and triggers the
buzzer alarm if detects gas leakage and prevents fromany mishappening. The present
invention is easy to use with various types of gas stoves.

[01] The present invention herein relates to gas leakage detection devices and more particularly, to a gas leakage detection device for gas stove which generates an alarm when gas leakage detects.
[02] Gas stoves helps in cooking but there are some problems such as gas leakage due to the human fault while installing the gas cylinder with the gas stove or there can be some other reasons like the leakage of the gas when the flame goes off and the stove knob is on. There are some cases in which people failed to observe the leakage of gas in the house and started using the electrical switches more often, this become the reason for the explosion due to the gas leakage.
[031 Gas monitoring and detection systems have been designed to provide protection against fires and explosions caused by uncontrolled gas leakage in kitchens and other places but it involves complexity.
[04] US9989193B2, discloses a natural gas leakage device which uses metering interface, a clock, sensor, and monitoring device for monitoring and performing action when natural gas usage detects during predetermined times. However, this invention provides false triggering sometimes.
[051 US3874224A, discloses a leak detecting apparatus which uses submersible flow tube for detecting gas leakage in the form of visible bubbles. However, this invention requires manual operation for providing a testing position.
[061 US4916437A, discloses gas monitoring system which generates an alarm in case of gas leakage and operates a valve to terminate the gas flow. However, this invention requires manual operation for resetting the system ever after gas leakage has been resolved.
[071 The above mentioned prior art states that there is a need for a system which detects gas leakage detection using sensors and generates an alarm to alert others.
[08] The present invention addresses the above mentioned short comings of the prior art.
[09] The summary as given below.
[0010] The present invention is a device which uses sensors to detect the gas leakage and trigger the alarm when detects gas leakage from a gas stove.
[0011] In one implementation, the proximity sensor detects whether gas stove is on or off and other sensors senses the temperature of the flame and gas leakage.
[0012] In the present implementation, identifies the change in temperature when flame is off and stove is on.
[0013] In one implementation, generates an alarm when stove is on but the flame is off. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0014] The foregoing detailed description of embodiments is better understood when read in conjunction with the attached drawings. For better understanding each component is given a specific number which is further illustrated as reference number for the components used with the figure.
[0015] Figure 1, illustrates block diagram of the present invention.
[00161 Figure 2, illustrates flow chart of the present invention.
[00171 The figures depict an embodiment of the present disclosure for the purpose of illustration and understanding only.
[0018] Some embodiments of this disclosure, illustrating all its features, will now be discussed in detail.
[0019] In one implementation, the present invention uses sensors to detect the gas leakage and trigger the alarm when detects gas leakage from a gas stove.
[0020] The disclosure herein, uses the gas leakage detection device for detecting the gas leakage in case the flame goes off on the burner but the gas stove knob remains on.
[0021] In one embodiment, the present invention consists of a main unit (100), gas stove (101), a proximity sensor (102), a temperature sensor (106), an LPG gas detector (107), and a buzzer (108).
[0022] In other embodiment, the main unit (100) includes the proximity sensor (102), the temperature sensor (106), an LPG gas detector (107), and the buzzer (108).
[0023] In other embodiment, the proximity sensor (102) detects whether the gas stove is on or off.
[0024] In another embodiment, the temperature sensor (106), measures the temperature.
[0025] In another embodiment, the minimum temperature of the flame on the gas stove is considered as 103 degree Celsius.
[0026] In other embodiment, the LPG gas detector (107), detects the LPG gasleakage.
[00271 In another embodiment, the buzzer (108), generates an alarm in case ofleakage.
[0028] In the present embodiment, when the gas stove (101) is on as well as flame is on at certain temperature, the system works without any interruption and without generating any buzzer.
[0029] In another embodiment, when the flame goes off and the temperature sensor (106) detects temperature less than the threshold temperature, the LPG gas detector (107) checks for any leakage.
[00301 In another embodiment, triggers the buzzer alarm if detects gas leakage and prevents from any mishappening.
[00311 In an exemplary embodiment, the proximity sensor (102) checks whether gas stove is in the on or off mode. When the flame on the burner goes off and the temperature sensor (106) detects temperature less than the threshold temperature then the LPG gas detector (107) checks for any leakage and triggers the buzzer alarm if detects gas leakage and prevents from any mishappening.
[0032] In another embodiment, protects from any major accident because of gas leakage.
[00331 Referring to figure 1, illustrates the block diagram in which includes gas stove (101); a proximity sensor (102), detects whether the gas stove on or off, a temperature sensor (106), measures the temperature; an LPGgas detector (107), detects the LPG gas; and a buzzer (108), generates an alarm in case of gasleakage.
[0034] Referring to figure 2, illustrates the flow chart in which checks whether gas stove burner is on or off by using the proximity sensor then measures the temperature variations with the threshold temperature using the temperature sensor. If measures the temperature variations then detects the LPG gas leakage using the LPG gas detector and triggers the buzzer in case of gas leakage.
[00351 In another embodiment, the LPG gas detector (107) helps in detecting the gas leakage during the flame on the gas stove goes off but the knob of the burner is on.
[00361 In another embodiment, the gas detection device uses with various types of gas stoves.
[00371 In another embodiment, user turn off the burner manually in caseof gas leakage detects.
[00381 In further embodiments, mobile application may be installed to receive the alerts by connecting with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
[00391 Some of the embodiments may be further upgraded upon the study performed further.
