Invention title: Warning Structure of Internally Illuminated Traffic Cone
Name of Applicant: Jing Nan Traffic Engineering Co., Ltd.
Address for Service A.P.T. Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys PO Box 833 Blackwood, S.A. 5051
The invention is described in the following statement:
Field of the Innovation The present innovation relates to a traffic cone, and more
particularly to a warning structure of an internally illuminated traffic
cone which is applied to make warning in road obstacle or
construction.
Description of the Prior Art
Conventionally, in road construction and construction sites,
traffic cones (also known as triangular cones) with distinguished
and warning functions are usually erected to remind vehicles and
pedestrians to avoid dangers caused by entering the road
construction and construction sites wrongly. The traffic cone
contains a hollowly conical portion and a support seat in a square
shape and one-piece formed with a lower end of the hollowly
conical portion, such that the hollowly conical portion is fixed on the
support seat securely and is colorful to make warning. However, the
traffic cone cannot emit lights in a night time or poor climate to
cause limited and poor warning, thus causing danger to the
vehicles and pedestrians when entering warning zone.
To overcome above-mentioned problem, an illuminative
traffic cone has been developed to emit light in a night time or poor
climate, thus providing warning effect. For example, a warning
device of a light-concentrated triangular cone is disclosed in TW
Publication No. M292595, and the light-concentrated triangular
cone is an internally illuminated traffic cone. The internally
illuminated traffic cone contains a base, a support disc, and a
transparent shield, wherein the base is a hollow column and has an
upper portion and a lower portion, a diameter of which is more than
a diameter of the upper portion. The base has a connection portion
connected with the support disc, a top face, a light source formed
on the top face of the base. The support disc has a power supply
device and a control circuit, wherein the support disc is connected
with and accommodated in the base, and the power supply device,
the control circuit, and the light source are electrically connected,
wherein the control circuit controls a light emitting mode of the lithe
source, the transparent shield is conical and is connected with the
top face of the base, and the light source is received in the
transparent shield.
Nevertheless, the light source of the light-concentrated
triangular cone makes distinguished warning via the transparent
shield by mating with colorful surface of the light-concentrated
triangular cone, such that the pedestrians detect the road conditions ahead and have sufficient time to react. Yet the support disc is fixed on the bottom of the base, the base has the top face, the light source is fixed on the top face, and the base has the transparent shield, so multiple triangular cones cannot be stacked to cause occupied space and troublesome storage and delivery.
Furthermore, the body includes the base, the support disc, and the
transparent shield, the base has the light source fixed on the top
face thereof, and the support disc has the power supply device and
the control circuit, thus having inconvenient maintenance and
replacement.
The present innovation has arisen to mitigate and/or
obviate the afore-described disadvantages.
The primary object of the present innovation is to provide a
warning structure of an internally illuminated traffic cone which
contains multiple light-emitting diode (LED) bulbs configured to emit
lights into a body upward, and the lights of the multiple LED bulbs
transmit the lights out of the body so that the body illuminates the
lights colorfully, thus obtaining warning effect.
Further object of the present innovation is to provide a
warning structure of an internally illuminated traffic cone by which
multiple internally illuminated traffic cones are stacked when being stored or carried to reduce occupied space.
Another object of the present innovation is to provide a
warning structure of an internally illuminated traffic cone by which at
least one power supply module and a light-emitting diode (LED) unit
are produced modularly to achieve easy maintenance and
replacement.
To obtain above-mentioned aspect, a warning structure of
an internally illuminated traffic cone which provided by the present
innovation contains: a body, at least one power supply module, and
a LED unit.
The body is hollow and is made of translucent material, and
the body includes a hollow cone portion and a support seat
one-piece formed on a bottom of a lower portion of the hollow cone.
The support seat has at least one accommodation groove defined
on a top thereof, and the body further includes an engagement unit
surrounding around an inner rim of the body.
The at least one power supply module is accommodated in
the at least one accommodation groove of the support seat of the
body so as to store and supply electricity.
The LED unit includes multiple LED bulbs receiving the
electricity from the respective power supply module and
accommodated in the engagement unit of the body, such that the
multiple LED bulbs emit lights into the body.
