Abstract

In one aspect of the present invention, a system for exchanging media between entities is disclosed. The system includes at least one sender sending the media; and at least one receiver receiving the media. The media files undergo exchanging between two entities or among a 5 plurality of the entities through unicast and multicast transmission protocols. The system further includes the unicast transmission protocol being converted into multicast and vice versa without any intervention. The media is selected from a group consisting of a file, folder, document(s), audio, video, live streaming, and combinations thereof. 1/1 Single Sender SingleRecipient Multiple Multiple Senders Recipients Figure 1

A SYSTEM FOR EXCHANGING MEDIA BETWEEN ENTITIES
TECHNICAL FIELD The present disclosure generally relates to a networking system. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to a system for exchanging media files between more than two entities. BACKGROUND
Media transfer between two or a network of more than two entities is a common protocol which is being followed in every sphere of profession. Media can include such as files, folders, documents, audio, video, live streaming, etc. Hence, one may have a need for a fast and efficient file transfer protocol. Such type of transmission may be unicast or multicast. The unicast transmission or stream sends IP packets to a single recipient on a network. The multicast transmission sends IP packets to a group of hosts on a network. However, there are no systems which can involve both unicast and multicast transmission as both the transmission protocols have different requirements. Further, conventional systems allow conversion of one type of transmission, however not vice versa. For example, unicast can be convertible to multicast however multicast cannot be converted to unicast. Therefore, there exists a need for developing systems which may involve both unicast and multicast transmission protocols, in addition to vice versa conversion of the two protocols into each other. SUMMARY In one aspect of the present invention, a system for exchanging media between entities is disclosed. The system includes at least one sender sending the media; and at least one receiver receiving the media. The media files undergo exchanging between two entities or among a plurality of the entities through unicast and multicast transmission protocols. The system further includes the unicast transmission protocol being converted into multicast and vice versa without any intervention. The media is selected from a group consisting of a file, folder, document(s), audio, video, live streaming, and combinations thereof. The media is communicated through a physical medium. The medium is a socket.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Other objects, features, and advantages of the embodiment will be apparent from the following description when read with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the drawings, wherein like reference numerals denote corresponding parts throughout the several views.
Preferred embodiments of the present invention are herein further described, by way of non limiting example only, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Fig. 1 illustrates a schematic diagram of a system for exchanging media between entities.
MODES FOR CARRYING OUT THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS The embodiments herein and the various features and advantageous details thereof are explained more fully with reference to the non-limiting embodiments that are illustrated in the accompanying drawings and detailed in the following description. Descriptions of well-known components and processing techniques are omitted so as to not unnecessarily obscure the embodiments herein. The examples used herein are intended merely to facilitate an understanding of ways in which the embodiments herein may be practiced and to further enable those of skill in the art to practice the embodiments herein. Accordingly, the examples should not be construed as limiting the scope of the embodiments herein. Throughout this specification and the claims which follow, unless the context requires otherwise, the word "comprise", and variations such as "comprises" and "comprising", will be understood to imply the inclusion of a stated integer or step or group of integers or steps but not the exclusion of any other integer or step or group of integers or steps. As used herein, the singular forms "a", "an", "the" include plural referents unless the context clearly dictates otherwise. Further, the terms "like", "as such", "for example", "including" are meant to introduce examples which further clarify more general subject matter, and should be contemplated for the persons skilled in the art to understand the subject matter. Although this invention has been described in conjunction with the exemplary embodiments' below, it is evident that many alternatives, modifications, and variations will be apparent to those skilled in the art. Accordingly, the exemplary embodiments of the invention as set forth above are intended to be illustrative and not limiting. Various changes may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. The present invention discloses a system for exchanging media among two entities or more than two entities. The present invention further discloses a system for exchanging media as per both the unicast and multicast protocols. The present invention also discloses changing of the transmission protocol such that the unicast may be converted to multi-cast or multi-cast into unicast. A powerful client- server technique is established which is easy for maintenance while keeping the setup and other options to an absolute minimum, requiring minimum intervention. Media can include such as but is not limited to files, folders, documents, presentations, audio, live sessions, videos, etc.
Such media files can be transferred through one entity to another or among a network of entities. In some instances, such media files can be exchanged from one entity to another or among a network of entities. Entities can include but are not limited to computer, laptop, and so on. In one implementation of the invention, the multicast application provides a shared window which supports the exchange of graphics and text. In another implementation of the invention, the communication system established by the present invention also utilizes SRM and ALF frameworks, which achieve eventual delivery of all data to the entire group. As shown in exemplary Figure 1, the present invention involves a system for exchanging media between entities or more than one entity. For example, a single sender can communicate and transfer files to a single recipient. In another instance, multiple senders can communicate and transfer files to single recipient. In another exemplary instance, the single sender can also send media files to multiple recipients simultaneously. Hence, such a communication requires client server model in the network environment. While exchanging the media files, a user at client site initiates opening a communication medium through which the media files may be exchanged. One of the examples of such medium may include such as both are not limited to a socket. In computer networking, an Internet socket or network socket is an endpoint of a bidirectional inter process communication flow across an Internet Protocol-based computer network, such as the Internet. The term Internet sockets is also used as a name for an application programming interface (API) for the TCP/IP protocol stack, usually provided by the operating system. Internet sockets constitute a mechanism for delivering incoming data packets to the appropriate application process or thread, based on a combination of local and remote IP addresses and port numbers. Each socket is mapped by the operational system to a communicating application process or thread. A socket address is the combination of an IP address (the location of the computer) and a port (which is mapped to the application program process) into a single identity, much like one end of a telephone connection is between a phone number and a particular extension line at that location. Computer processes that provide application services are called servers, and create sockets on start up that are in listening state. These sockets are waiting for initiatives from client programs. For a listening TCP socket, IP Address and the remote port number is required. Hence, the present invention discloses a system for exchanging media between entities such that the media can be transferred through unicast and multi cast transmission protocols.
Many modifications will be apparent to those skilled in the art without departing from the scope of the present invention as hereinbefore described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
The reference in this specification to any prior art publication (or information derived from it), or to any matter which is known, is not, and should not be taken as an acknowledgement or admission or any form of suggestion that the prior publication (or information derived from it) or known matter forms part of the common general knowledge in the field of Endeavour to which this specification relates. The foregoing descriptions of exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure have been presented for purposes of illustration and description. They are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the disclosure to the precise forms disclosed, and obviously many modifications and variations are possible in light of the above teaching. The exemplary embodiments were chosen and described in order to best explain the principles of the disclosure and its practical application, to thereby enable others skilled in the art to best utilize the disclosure and various embodiments with various modifications as are suited to the particular use contemplated. It is understood that various omissions, substitutions of equivalents are contemplated as circumstance may suggest or render expedient but is intended to cover the application or implementation without departing from the spirit or scope of the claims of the present disclosure.
