Abstract
The invention provides a novel and convenient stomach tube fixer that is comprised
of a tube, a string and an adjuster, belonging to the field of medical apparatus. Small
holes are arranged in the middle and near both ends of the tube, the string passes
through the hose, and being drawn out by its both ends from the small holes near the
ends of the hose on both sides, and its middle section is drawn out from the small hole
in the middle of the tube to form a clove hitch for hitching the stomach tube. Both free
ends of the tube pass through and are fixed by the adjuster. The invention is easy to
operate for its simple structure; and it does not cause skin irritation due to its soft and
comfortable texture equipped with firm and safe fixation, furthermore, it reduces the
workload of nurses for being easy to clean, and without the need of frequent
replacement.

This invention is related to a medical apparatus, and particularly regarding to a novel and convenient stomach tube fixer
In medical clinical, the syndrome of dysphagia caused by some diseases needs to insert tube into stomach to maintain patient's need of food and nutrition. At present, it is common to use 3M adhesive tape to fix stomach tube. However, due to patient's restlessness, sweats, oily skin or non-adhesive tape, stomach tube are easy to be detached. On the other hand, it is necessary to change the adhesive tape frequently and clean the sticky remains left by the adhesive tape, moreover, some patient is allergic to the adhesive tap, which could injure their skin mucous membrane, finally, replacing the detached stomach tube repeatedly could aggravate the irritation and injury to patient's nasal cavity, esophagus and normal mucosa, which not only lowers patient's satisfaction with aggravated pain and financial cost, but increases nurse's workload.
The invention provides a novel and convenient stomach tube fixer, which is easy to operate for its simple structure; and does not cause skin irritation due to its soft and comfortable texture equipped with firm and safe fixation instead of adhesive tapes, furthermore, it reduces the workload of nurses for being easy to clean, and without the need of frequent replacement.
In order to achieve the purpose above, the present invention provides the following technical scheme:
A novel and convenient stomach tube fixer is characterized in that the described tube has small holes in the middle section and near the ends of each side, the described string passes through the hose, and being drawn out by its both ends from the small holes near the ends of the hose on both sides, and its middle section is drawn out from the small hole in the middle of the tube to form a clove hitch for hitching the stomach tube, both free ends of the tube pass through and are fixed by the adjuster described.
Further, the described a novel and convenient stomach tube Fixer is characterized in that the length of described tube is 1-1.5 meters.
Further, the described tube is infusion tube.
Further, the described string is cotton cord.
Further, the described adjuster is laryngeal clamp.
The present invention brings the following benefits: this invention has multiple advantages, such as being structural simple, easy to manufacture, convenient to use, and handy to operate. The device can be fixed around the head, to those being not comfortable with fixture to head, it can be fixed on the chin bypassing the ears, it is flexible and diverse for fixture, besides, the invention does not cause skin irritation due to its soft and comfortable texture equipped with firm and safe fixation that is not effected by patient's restlessness, sweats, oily skin, moreover, it is easy to clean and not needed to be replaced frequently, thus, reducing the workload of nurse's. The material of making the device is easy to obtain, and the infusion tube as main material can be recycled, leading to simple and low cost manufacturing.

Herein, the present invention is further explained with reference to the attached figure and specific embodiment..
As figure 1 demonstrates, a novel and convenient stomach tube fixer that is comprised of a tube 1, a string 2 and an adjuster 3. The length of described tube is 1 1.5 meters, infusion tube is preferred, other tube with soft texture can also be used. There are holes 11a and 11b placed both In the middle section and roughly 5cm close to both ends of tube 1, the described string can be cotton cord, hemp cord, and nylon cord, cotton cord is preferred. Passing string 2 through tube 1, drawing both ends of it out of small holes 11b placed near both ends of the tube 1, and drawing the middle section of the string 2 out of small hole 11a placed in the middle of the tube 1 to form clove hitch 21 for hitching the stomach tube, both free ends of the tube pass through and are fixed by the adjuster 3, the adjuster 3 is laryngeal clamp.
In use, inserting the stomach tube to where it should be, then using clove hitch 21 to hitch the stomach tube, pulling the string 2 to both sides to tighten the clove hitch until the stomach tube is fastened, pulling both sides of the string 2 until it is completely tightened, and knotting the cotton cord. Next step, adjusting the width of the loop by using adjuster 3 until the loop is well fixed on patient's head or chin by bypassing the ears.
This invention provides a novel and convenient stomach tube fixer according to the design of clove hitch used to fix tube. Tube 1, string 2 and adjuster 3 are used in conjunction by pulling string 2 to tie up the the stomach tube hitched by clove hitch 21, after fixation, adjuster 3 is used to adjust the width of the loop of tube 2 for final fixation. The invention has multiple advantages, such as being structural simple, easy to manufacture, convenient to use, and handy to operate. A novel and convenient stomach tube fixer is characterized in that the described tube has small holes in the middle section and near the ends of each side, the described string passes through the hose, and being drawn out by its both ends from the small holes near the ends of the hose on both sides, and its middle section is drawn out from the small hole in the middle of the tube to form a clove hitch for hitching the stomach tube, both free ends of the tube pass through and are fixed by the adjuster described.
2. According to claim 1, the described novel and convenient stomach tube fixer is characterized in that the length of described tube is 1-1.5 meters.
3. According to claim 2, the described novel and convenient stomach tube fixer is characterized in that the described tube is infusion tube.
4. According to claim 3, the described novel and convenient stomach tube fixer is characterized in that the described string is cotton cord.
5. According to claim 4, the described novel and convenient stomach tube fixer is characterized in that the described adjuster is laryngeal clamp.
