Abstract

: The custom wedge shaped inserts described in this document are used to better relieve stress of the users feet and lower body by giving the user the ability to choose a level of comfit and alignment that is right for them as each person has different shaped and aligned feet, no one shoe or sole mould can ever effectively and correctly support the foot of all users. By giving the user multiple wedge shapes and can quickly and easily choose the correct support for their foot shape.

BACKGROUND:
[0001] The described invention relates to the use of wedges used through the side of the shoe sole beneath the arch of the foot to give individual customised arch adjustment to each foot of the user.
[0002] DESCRIPTION OF RELATED ARTS:
[0003] Footwear has been around for thousands of years and is worn for protection from the elements and also fashion and comes in a variety of forms including shoes, sandals, boots, flip flops, slippers, sneakers and alike.
[0004] Inner soles of different shape give the user different fit and feel under foot.
[0005] Orthotic footwear come in many different variations to give better support to the foot.
[0006] Attempts have been made to give footwear better shape to better support the foot and relieve unwanted stress in the lower body.
[0007] SUMMERY OF INVENTION:
[0008] The adjustable Orthotic footwear described as the invention in this document uses different height wedges that can be inserted in through the side the footwear as part of the shoe to raise or lower the height of the arch support to give the user the ability to adjust the footwear to the desired height of the users unique foot shape, as no two feet are the same the user has the ability to select the right amount of support for each foot, relieving unwanted pain and stress.
[0009] Different size wedges can be inserted through the side of the sole under the arch of the foot giving more or less support to the users foot arch.

[0016] DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
[0017] Wedges used in the footwear come in through the side of the shoe to give the inner sole a different shape.
[0018] The wedges are made as part of the shoe sole design and fit perfectly in to place making the wedge undetectable to look at.
[0019] Wedges can be made using many different types of material depending on the desired support of the foot arch.
[0020] Wedge can be covered in many different materials to give a certain look e.g, coloured materials, leather etc..
[0021] Materials used in the construction of Footwear and wedges would include but not be limited to EVA, PU, PE, PVC, Rubber, Material, Nylon, Leather, Plastic all made from various colours and patterns.
[0022] Wedges have locators to help hold the wedge in place after being inserted into the sole.
[0023] Wedges have have the ability to be custom trimmed to different size by the user to even further customise the feel under foot and help correctly align the feet, legs and knees.
[0024] Different size wedges are designed to be interchangeable with different size shoe in the same model by allowing the shoe sole to stretch slightly to accommodate larger wedges.

1, The use of adjustable custom shaped wedges used through the side sole of the footwear creates the ability for the user to easily select the correct support level for their unique foot shape, correcting feet and knee alignment and creating a more comfortable footwear.
