Abstract
An Automatic door handle with sanitizer using Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial
Intelligence Technologies for personal human care
With the advance technologies like Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning
many applications in all the domains were inventing by lot of inventors. Here the invention is to develop
a product, which will automatically sanitize the door handle and human in front of the door with the
advanced technologies that mention before. The product consists of sensors to sense the presence of
humans/any objects and body temperature, the sensed values will store in the cloud, in the cloud the
analysis will be performed with the artificial intelligence based algorithms to take the action based on
the sensed values from sensors, the decision will be communicated to the app which is in the user
mobile. By seeing in the app, based on the decision send by the cloud analysis, the user may open the
door/ may not open the door. With this product the users can be safeguarded during the pandemic
situations.

An Automatic door handle with sanitizer using Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence Technologies for personal human care
[0001] The present invention relates to a system/product which can be used to automatically sense the human values (body temperature) and do sanitization by touching the door handle for personal human cares to open the door or not opening the door by using the IoT (Internet of Things) and deep learning approaches. This product will be used as an automatic door handle with sensing capability, that which enable to users to take appropriate decision to open the door or not, as a preventive measure during the pandemic situations.
[0002] The door handle sanitizer system and apparatus according to US20060153733A1 will dispense the germicide, which consists of antibacterial, disinfect, etc. to the door handle at controlled levels. Here no monitoring and control systems with mobile applications is not available. The patent GB2549144A is a door handle sanitizer which was loaded with the disinfecting materials which is used to spray directly on the door handle. This will purely work based movement of the door, no electric power and sensors were used. In a patent US20080023497A elongated nozzle was configured for the use of automated dispensers like door handle or alike devices. Here explained about the invention related to the nozzle.
[0003] The patent US7989779B1 is a universal ultraviolet light sanitization device that which can be mounted to the door knob where ever the UV sources is available. With the background inventions, there is a lack of specific IoT technology and Artificial intelligence technology in the designing of the door handles. This invention has the capable of control and monitor the door handle locally and globally with the preventive measures for the human care.
[0004] The principal object of the present invention is to develop a door handle with automatic sanitization for it and person that who want to enter into home or office, that which will automatically sprinkle the sanitizer on the door handle and the person for every 10 mins/user defined time. With this the presence of the person and the body temperature of he/she will sensed by the sensors and will communicated to the cloud/server to take the decision to open the door or not. The decision will be communicated to the user mobile phone via application. The product will be done with the advanced technologies like Al, ML and IoT. Thus, with this Product the user will safeguarded by the pandemic virus/ diseases.
[0005] The present invention provides a system/Product in which the door handle is an equipped with the microcontroller, sensors and the Wi-Fi technology to send the sensed data to the cloud to take the appropriate decisions based on the sensed values. The sensed values may be the body temperature of the humans and the presence of the humans. The decision will be communicated to the users via mobile app locally or globally. This decision is based on the Al algorithms that present in the cloud. Whenever the presence of the objects / persons detected by the PIR sensor, the sanitizer valve/sprinkler will automatically triggers and sanitize the door and the person in front of the door., whenever the PIR sensor does not detect any object the door handle consists of the real time clock, that which will trigger the valve/sprinkler for every 10 mins/user specified time. With this mechanism we can save the humans from the pandemic situations like COVID-19, to stop spreading to others.
[0006] The proposed product is connected to the cloud/server/local computer, the cloud consist of the analysing algorithms of the technologies like Al that which will help to take the decision based on the sensed values. And with the IoT technology the decision will be shard to the user via mobile app, that which will help to take action by the user. Thus, with the help of this door handle, the human can be safeguarded from the spreading diseases like COVID-19. This product will be used as a product to automatically sanitize the door handle and humans who trying to enter into home or office.

Fig. 2 illustrates a schematic flow of the proposed system which shows the process flow steps.
[0008] The system is intended to automatically sanitize the door handle and the person who want to go inside the office/home for every 20 minutes or user defined time. And it will sense the presence of humans and body temperature, that which will help to open the door or not and customized based on the user needs. With this product, users can safeguard themselves with the spreading diseases. This can be used for the doors at entrance of home or office and in the public places like toilets, etc.
[0009] Fig. 1 illustrates a schematic of the overall proposed system which shows the components such as The Door handle, Mobile and Cloud / server.
[0010] Here the system or product consist of a IoT enabled door handle (100) with Sprinkler/valve (101) with microcontrollers like a Arduino nano or node MCU (102), with this microcontroller we are connecting the sensors (103) like PIR sensor, RTC (Real time Clock), GPS sensors, thermal sensor and buzzer (104). This IoT enabled door handle (100) is transmitting the data to the cloud (200), this cloud consists of the various servers, one server (201) is used to collect data from the door handle, with this data the decision will be declared after processing with the Al (202) algorithms which is in the cloud and that decision after processing will be communicated to the user app, which is in their mobile (300).
[0011] With this door handle the users can automatically sanitize the door handle for every 10 secs user defined time and for the humans before entering into home/office. This can be customized based on the place where we using this product.

Claims (4)
1. A system/Product for sanitizing the door handle and human being who trying to enter into home/office automatically by using the IoT, Al and Machine learning technologies. This system / product comprises: a. Consists of door handle with microcontroller that which is used to interface sensors like Thermal sensor, gate valve sensor (to turn on sanitizer), sprinkler, and PIR sensor that which will be fixed to the door. b. Can connect that door handle to central server or computer or cloud to that receives and stores the information / recordings from the sensors. c. Connectivity technologies (Wi-Fi) that connected to the microcontroller to communicate sensed data / recordings to the users globally (cloud). d. Al and Machine leaning algorithms were used to analyze the sensed data with the trained data to take the decision. e. Decision is communicated remotely with the mobile app for remote monitoring/ controlling like opening the door. f. Can open the door manually also with the door handle in the places like public toilets. g. Based on the place we use this product, can be customized.
2 The program / library / deep/Machine learning / Al approaches according to claim 1 can be uploaded based on the user requirements that coded in python or c language.
3. The sensors according to claim 1 are selected from analog or digital sensors.
4. The sensors according to claim 1 transmit the data to the central server or computer or Cloud through communication protocols such as Wi-Fi with Internet Connection.
