Abstract
The Wire Brush Puck - Grinder Accessory Invention
Abstract
In its basic concept the invention resides in a new cleaning tool that makes use of
wire brushes, planetary floor grinders and small single head rotary floor grinders of
250-350mm size, to perform all manner of paint, rust removal, cleaning, and light
abrasion tasks, without the need for grinding the concrete surface of the top of the
floor, monopoly claims relate to a new wire brush puck design, that either uses
either a hook and loop or magnetic attachment design, for attachment to puck
holders - for attachment to the bottom of grinder base plates [as with other abrasive
puck designs] , or may consist of a wire brush puck, cup wheel or plate design, that
incorporates all proprietary floor grinder attachment features for rapid attachment too
all planetary floor grinders and small single head rotary floor grinders of 250-350mm
size.

The Wire Brush Puck - Grinder Accessory Invention
This invention resides in a new cleaning tool that makes use of wire brushes for planetary floor grinders and small single head rotary floor grinders of 250 350mm size, to perform all manner of paint, rust removal, cleaning, and light abrasion tasks, without the need for grinding the concrete floor surface of the top of the floor, the invention resides in wire brush puck of hook and loop and or magnetic attachment design, as identical in construction to other abrasive puck designs , the invention also resides in a wire brush puck that incorporates a proprietary plate attachment feature that allows it to fit directly onto a floor grinder base plate, the invention also resides in a wire brush grinder base plate design that fits directly onto all commonly owned and used small and large planetary floor grinders, and or small single head rotary floor grinders of 250 350mm in size and plate attachment means
Wire brushes are very useful for removing paint and plaster left behind on concrete floors during home construction, which must be removed before follow up flooring trades can get good tile, vinyl or carpet glue adhesion to floors, hence this invention is new and useful as it significantly increases speed, reduces costs, dust, cleaning and simplicity of abrading and preparing floors, whereby most floors in new constructions are in very good condition and don't require the much more intensive process of grinding, This inventive step came from a desire to provide a low budget customer with a cheaper more dust free floor preparation alternative, whereby only light abrasion for coatings is only required to adhere to the surface - whereby a heavy floor cut is surplus to requirements and cost on a new floor surface
While the invention will be described in connection with one or more preferred embodiments, it will be understood that the description is not intended to limit the invention to the described embodiments. On the contrary, the description is intended to cover all alternatives, modifications and equivalents as may be included with the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the attached claims.
Thus usage of the invention can be employed in accordance with the following guidelines.
1. Attach a "wire brush puck to a hook and loop backer pad, 2. Attach backer pad to grinder plate via proprietary attachment means 3. Alternatively attach proprietary wire brush plate design to bottom of grinder
