Technical field

The invention involves a towable house/ transformable caravan with expandable rooms.

Background technology

Currently, trailers are generally one piece and cannot be expanded, without the ability

to increase inner space in multiple directions. This cannot meet the users' demand for

comfortable living space and reduces the users' enjoyment.

Under current technology, in order to meet the users' demand for more space,

recreational vehicles are getting larger and larger. However, this approach has also

lead to safety hazards as the increased size of recreational vehicles makes them

extremely inconvenient to maneuver on road. It is difficult for users to steer in a

timely and effective manner when turning.

Description of this invention

The purpose of the invention is to provide a towable house/ transformable caravan

with expandable rooms, which can solve the technical problems that the existing

trailers are having. The invention describes a trailer house that is small enough to be

safely transported on road, and also can be expanded to be a comfortable 1/2/3

bedroom house to meet any of the users' requirements.

The purpose of the invention can be achieved through the following technical solutions:

A towable house / transformable caravan with expandable rooms, comprising a main

frame, a left foldable frame and a right foldable frame which are respectively attached

to both sides of the main frame. Both can be removed from the main frame. The main

frame is mounted on top of a trailer and includes a top plate (roof), a bottom plate (floor)

and walls on all four sides.

The left foldable frame includes a cover plate/roof , a front wall plate, a back wall plate

and a bottom plate / floor. One side of the roof plate is connected to the main frame's

cover plate and can be rotated, and the front wall plate and the back wall plate are also

respectively connected to the respective side of main frame's wall plate and can be

rotated; one side of the bottom plate is connected to the bottom of the main frame and

can be rotated. The opposite side of the bottom plate is connected to a left wall plate

and can be rotated.

The right foldable frame includes a cover plate / roof, a front wall plate, a back wall

plate and a bottom plate / floor. One side of the roof plate is connected to the main

frame's cover plate and can be rotated, and the front wall plate and the back wall plate

are also respectively connected to the respective side of main frame's wall plate and

can be rotated; one side of the bottom plate is connected to the bottom of the main

frame and can be rotated. The opposite side of the bottom plate is connected to a right

wall plate and can be rotated.

Preferably, a vertical plate is mounted between the wall plate on the left and the left

foldable frame. The vertical plate is detachable from the wall plate and one side of the

Step 1: When the transformable caravan needs to be transported, the left and right

frames can be folded and fixed by connecting the clamping plates and the side plates.

There could be two foldable frames installed on both sides of the main frame, or only

one foldable frame on any side of the main frame. After attaching the clamping plates

to the inside of the clamping grooves, the clamping plates will push the bead, forcing

the elastic telescopic column to shrink, so that the clamping plate moves freely inside

the clamping groove, and the clamping plate is in contact with the bead, which makes

the clamping plate move steadily while the friction between the bead and the clamping

plate decreases;

Step 2: After the clamping plate moves inside the clamping groove, the hydraulic

columns drive the push plate to move towards the clamping plate until the push plate

is docked with the clamping plate. The clamping plate is stable inside the clip slot and

the movable push plate and the ball can be adapted to different sizes of clamping plate.

When the push plate moves towards the clamping plate, the bead passes through the

hole without affecting the normal movement of the push plate. After the push plate

leaves the clamping plate, the ball go through the hole to make contact with the

clamping plate.

Step 3: After installing the foldable frames to the main frame, the left foldable frame

can be expanded out:

Firstly the roof plate moves upward. The roof plate can be pushed upward driven by

the pressure telescopic rods until the roof plate reaches the pre-set position.

Secondly the floor plate can be pulled/pushed downward. The floor plate can be pulled

or pushed down while one side is connected to the bottom of the vertical plate until the floor plate is horizontal.

Thirdly the left wall panel is then pulled upward. The bottom of the left wall panel

rotates around the bottom panel until the top of the left wall panel is connected to the

hinge at the bottom of the top panel. The left wall panel supports the top panel at the

bottom.

Fourthly the back wall panel and the front wall panel are pulled outward. The sides of

the back wall panel and the front wall panel are connected to the side of the left wall

panel. Then the latches are inserted to hold the bottom panel on both sides; the latch

penetrates the bottom plate to reach the front wall board and the left wall board; the

latch penetrates the bottom plate to reach the front wall board and the left wall board.

The same process applies to the expansion of the right foldable frame.

The advantages of this invention:

1. By arranging a clamping slot on one side of the side plate, when the towable house/

transformable caravan needs to be used, both the left and right box frames are clamped

and fixed with the side plate by the clamping plate; both box frames are installed on

the outside of the main body frame simultaneously, or separately, which can be selected

according to the actual needs; after the clamping plate is clamped inside the clamping

slot, thus the elastic telescopic column is under pressure and forced to shrink, so that

the clamping plate moves freely in the clamping slot, the clamping plate contacts with

the ball, which makes the clamping plate more stable while moving, and at the same

time, the friction between the ball and the clamping plate is reduced, so the clamping plate and ball are not easy to be damaged. The clamping plate can move freely inside the clamping slot, and the installation and removal are convenient and fast.

2. By installing a movable push plate inside the clamping slot, so after the clamping

plate is installed inside the clamping slot, the hydraulic column drives the push plate

to move towards the clamping plate until the push plate is against the clamping plate,

so that the clamping plate is not easy to shake inside the clamping slot with better

stability performance. And the movable push plate and ball are suitable for the

installation of clamping plates in different sizes with better adaptive capacity. When

the push plate moves to the clamping plate, the ball passes through the through-hole

without affecting the normal movement of the push plate. After the push plate shrinks

and separates from the clamping plate, the ball protrudes from the through-hole to

contact with the clamping plate.

3. By installing two box frames, after the box frames are installed and when a large

space is needed for use, the box frames can be unfolded. Now take the left box frame

A towable house /transformable caravan with expandable rooms, comprising a main frame (20), a left foldable frame and a right foldable frame which are respectively attached to both sides of the main frame (20). Both can be removed from the main frame (20). The main frame (20) is mounted on top of a trailer and includes a top plate (roof) (6), a bottom plate (floor) and walls (21) on all four sides. The left foldable frame includes a cover plate / roof (1), a front wall plate (4), a back wall plate (5) and a bottom plate / floor (2) . One side of the roof plate (1) is connected to the main frame's cover plate (6) and can be rotated, and the front wall plate (4) and the back wall plate (5) are also respectively connected to the respective side of main frame's wall plate (21) and can be rotated; one side of the bottom plate (2) is connected to the bottom of the main frame (20) and can be rotated. The opposite side of the bottom plate (2) is connected to a left wall plate (3) and can be rotated. The right foldable frame includes a cover plate / roof (11), a front wall plate (14), aback wall plate (15) and a bottom plate/ floor (12). One side of theroof plate (11) is connected to the main frame's cover plate (6) and can be rotated, and the front wall plate (14) and the back wall plate (15) are also respectively connected to the respective side of main frame's wall plate (21) and can be rotated; one side of the bottom plate (12) is connected to the bottom of the main frame

2. A towable house / transformable caravan with expandable rooms according to claim 1, where in a vertical plate (7) is mounted between the wall plate (21) on the left and the left foldable frame. The vertical plate (7) is detachable from the wall plate (21) and one side of the front wall plate (4) and the back wall plate (5) are connected by rotatable iron hinges to the vertical plate (7).
3. A towable house / transformable caravan with expandable rooms according to claim 1, where in a vertical plate (16) is mounted between the wall plate (21) on the right and the right foldable frame. The vertical plate (16) is detachable from the wall plate (21) and one side of the front wall plate (14) and the back wall plate (15) are connected by rotatable iron hinges to the vertical plate (16).

A towable house / transformable caravan with expandable rooms according to claim 1, where in hinges (10) are installed at the bottom of the side of the roof plate (1) furthest from the main frame's cover plate (6), and hinges (19) are installed at the bottom of the side of the roof plate (11) furthest from the cover plate (6). At the same time, both the roof plate (1) and the roof plate (11) are attached by rotatable iron hinges to the cover plate (6).

A towable house / transformable caravan with expandable rooms according to claim 1, where in pneumatic telescopic rods (24) (25) are respectively arranged on the left side of the vertical plate (7) diagonally with the top of the pneumatic telescopic rods (24) (25) are connected to the bottom of the roof plate (1). A towable house / transformable caravan with expandable rooms according to claim 1, where in the outer sides of the side plates (21) are installed with clamping slots (26) and one side of the vertical plates (7) (16) both have clamping plates (32). A reinforcing rod (33) is added between clamping plates (32) and the vertical plates (7) (16). The clamping plates (32) can be plugged into the clamping slots (26).

A towable house / transformable caravan with expandable rooms according to claim 1, where in a push plate (28) is arranged vertically inside the clamping groove (26), with multiple hydraulic columns (27) installed in between them. In addition, an elastic telescopic column (31) is arranged between two adjacent hydraulic columns (27), with a bead (30) at the other end of the elastic telescopic column (31) and corresponding holes (29) on the push plate (28) and the bead (30).

A towable house / transformable caravan with expandable rooms according to claim 1, where in the specific steps for the use of the transformable caravan include: Step 1: When the transformable caravan needs to be transported, the left and right frames can be folded and fixed by connecting the clamping plates (32) and the side plates (21). There could be two foldable frames installed on both sides of the main frame (20), or only one foldable frame on any side of the main frame (20). After attaching the clamping plates (32) to the inside of the clamping grooves (26), the clamping plates (32) will push the bead (30), forcing the elastic telescopic column (31) to shrink, so that the clamping plate (32) moves freely inside the clamping groove (26), and the clamping plate (32) is in contact with the bead (30), which makes the clamping plate (32) move steadily while the friction between the bead (30) and the clamping plate (32) decreases; Step 2: After the clamping plate (32) moves inside the clamping groove (26), the hydraulic columns (27) drive the push plate (28) to move towards the clamping plate (32) until the push plate (28) is docked with the clamping plate (32). The clamping plate (32) is stable inside the clip slot (26) and the movable push plate (28) and the ball (30) can be adapted to different sizes of clamping plate (32). When the push plate (28) moves towards the clamping plate (32), the bead (30) passes through the hole (29) without affecting the normal movement of the push plate (28). After the push plate (28) leaves the clamping plate (32), the ball (30) go through the hole (29) to make contact with the clamping plate (32).

Step 3: After installing the foldable frames to the main frame, the left foldable frame can be expanded out: Firstly the roof plate (1) moves upward. The roof plate (1) can be pushed upward driven by the pressure telescopic rods (24) (25) until the roof plate (1) reaches the pre-set position. Secondly the floor plate (2) can be pulled/pushed downward. The floor plate (2) can be pulled or pushed down while one side is connected to the bottom of the vertical plate (7) until the floor plate (2) is horizontal. Thirdly the left wall panel (3) is then pulled upward. The bottom of the left wall panel (3) rotates around the bottom panel (2) until the top of the left wall panel (3) is connected to the hinge (10) at the bottom of the top panel (1). The left wall panel (3) supports the top panel (1) at the bottom. Fourthly the back wall panel (5) and the front wall panel (4) are pulled outward. The sides of the back wall panel (5) and the front wall panel (4) are connected to the side of the left wall panel (3). Then the latches (8) (9) are inserted to hold the bottom panel (2) on both sides; the latch (8) penetrates the bottom plate (2) to reach the front wall board (4) and the left wall board (3); the latch (9) penetrates the bottom plate (2) to reach the front wall board (5) and the left wall board (3). The same process applies to the expansion of the right foldable frame.
