The method makes use of the chemical reactivity of the Lignite. By using certain catalytic compounds at low temperatures facilitates the release of Hydrogen gas. It is carried out at low temperatures using the chemical process which in turn uses a catalysing compound (ferrite and other catalytic additives) to produce an exothermic reaction. This reaction produces the Hydrogen in large quantities.
