TECHNICAL FIELD
[0002] The present disclosure relates to a mining dump truck, and more particularly, to a three-link steering mechanism of a mining dump truck.
BACKGROUND
[0003] Mining dump trucks belong to off-highway dump trucks, which are mainly used for transporting ore and mineral materials in large open-pit mines. The mining dump trucks mainly consist of a frame, an engine, a braking device, a walking system and a steering system. The steering system is an important part of the mining dump trucks, a reasonable design of a spatial arrangement of a steering mechanism has an important influence on avoiding interference with other components such as the engine and long-life service of tires.
[0004] At present, the mining dump trucks, especially those with non-independent suspended front axles, mostly adopt steering arms symmetrically provided along the front axle to separate a steering cylinder and a tie rod from the front and rear, thereby making the structure compact and saving space. However, some components are located in front of the front axle to balance the spatial arrangement of the tie rod of the front axle and components such as the engine. At present, demands for the mining dump trucks are developing towards large tonnage, which leads to the need to install a larger engine. When the engine is enlarged or the placement position is changed, sufficient space must be left in the front of the front axle, and thus, the steering mechanism of the non-independent suspended front axles of the dump trucks needs to adopt a new structure to avoid the above-mentioned problems and leave more space for the installation of the engine under the premise of ensuring the steering function.

[0019] The two steering arms 1 are respectively connected to both ends of the tie rod 2, and the two steering hydraulic cylinders 3 are respectively connected to the two steering arms 1. Each of the two steering arms 1 is provided with a first bearing hole 11, a second bearing hole 12 and a steering connection through hole 13, wherein the first bearing hole 11 and the steering connection through hole 13 are respectively located at end positions of the steering arm 1, and the second bearing hole 12 is located between the first bearing hole 11 and the steering connection through hole 13. The both ends of the tie rod 2 are provided with tie rod connecting ends 21, and each of the tie rod connecting ends 21 is provided with a first fork hole. One of the bearings 4 is installed in the first bearing hole 11, and one of the positioning pins 5 is installed in the bearing 4 and the first fork hole to connect the tie rod connecting end 21 with the steering arm 1, so that the tie rod 2 can stably and reliably rotate around the first bearing hole 11. The steering connection through hole 13 is used to connect with a steering shaft of a non-independent suspended front axle 7, and an outer side of the steering connection through hole 13 is provided with fixing holes 14. The steering connection through hole 13 is sleeved on the steering shaft, and one or more of the bolts 6 pass through one or more of the corresponding fixing holes 14 to connect the steering arm 1 with the steering shaft, which is a rigid connection.
[0020] The positioning of the first bearing hole 11 and the second bearing hole 12 on the steering arm 1 for connecting the tie rod 2 and the steering hydraulic cylinder 3 is optimized by algorithms, such as a quadratic programming method and a Gaussian gradient method, to ensure that a front wheel positioning relationship meets Ackerman steering geometry and avoid tire wear.
[0021] The tie rod connecting end 21 is a U-shaped bayonet, the first fork hole is provided at both sides of the U-shaped bayonet, and the first bearing hole 11 is located in the U-shaped bayonet.
[0022] A rear end of each of the two steering hydraulic cylinders 3 is provided with a hydraulic cylinder connecting end 31, and the hydraulic cylinder connecting end 31 is provided with a second fork hole; one end of each of two telescopic rods 32 is installed in the steering hydraulic cylinder 3, the other end of the telescopic rod 32 is provided with a telescopic rod connecting end 33, and the telescopic rod connecting end 33 is provided with a third fork hole. One of the bearings 4 is installed in the second bearing hole 12, one of the positioning pins 5 is installed in the bearing 4 and the second fork hole to movably connect the hydraulic cylinder connecting end 31 with the steering arm 1. The telescopic rod connecting end 33 is connected with a non-independent suspended front axle 7 through the positioning pin 5, the third fork hole and the bearing 4. [0024] Front wheels are installed on both sides of the non-independent suspended front axle 7, and the steering hydraulic cylinder 3 pushes the telescopic rod 32 to expand and contract, thereby driving the front wheels to rotate around the steering shaft.
[0025] The three-link steering mechanism of the mining dump truck has a left-right symmetrical structure, and all components face the bottom and rear side of the non-independent suspended front axle 7. At the lower part of the front wheels, the steering arm 1 is fixed by the bolts 6. The bearings 4 are respectively installed in the first bearing hole 11 and the second bearing hole 12 of the steering arm 1. The first fork hole at one end of the tie rod 2 is aligned with the outermost first bearing hole 11 of the steering arm 1. The steering arm 1 is inserted into the U-shaped bayonet of the tie rod connecting end 21 and the positioning pin 5 to ensure that the bearing 4 and the tie rod 2 will not move up and down, and the rotation of the tie rod 2 is realized by the rotation of the bearing 4 there. Similarly, the telescopic rod 32 is connected to the non-independent suspended front axle 7 through the bearing 4 and the positioning pin 5, and the hydraulic cylinder connecting end 31 at the other end is connected to the second bearing hole in the middle of the steering arm 1 to ensure that the bearing 4 and the steering hydraulic cylinder 3 will not move up and down, and the rotation of the steering hydraulic cylinder 3 relative to the steering arm 1 is realized by the rotation of the bearing 4 there.
