APPLICATION DESCRIPTION:
Application Sector: Construction Product I
Application Purpose: Post X is a product that is specifically designed as a construction application aid to provide the most accurate installment and linear alignment of both structural and non-structural posts, poles, formwork, moulds and a range of extruded profiles prior to the structural or non-structural elements being secured into final or absolute location.
Statement of Newness Or Distinctiveness: Post X is a NEW and DISTINCTIVE product innovation in that it will be a manufactured component for use as a temporary (non-permanent) construction system, with the ability to bd adjustable for height and plumbness and alignment to any given plane using threaded adjustment with exponential locations as opposed to traditional temporary fixing of structural members. Additionally, Post X construction system is size adjustable for component member size, a removable and demountable application.
Application Components: · Post X comprises a range of specific elements namely: - • 'Halo' coupling element/s with adjustable threads • Base plate/s and pegs with drilled fixing I connection locations • Bracing elements with drilled fixing/connection locations

Application Elements: Post X as a system includes interchangeable elements as described following: - • 1. Fixed dimension square 'HALO' coupling with adjustable bolts for use with square rectangular and sectional profiles, where the coupling can be placed over the section to preferred location • 2. Adjustable dimension 'HALO' coupling with adjustable bolts, comprising two elements that when fixed together can accept a
a range of profiles set by a sequence of blind threads that allow width adjustments and locking to position. The purpose of the two elements allows the coupling to be installed to members where there is no abilitj to locate the coupling over the member section ' · 3. Adjustable dimension 'HALO' coupling with adjustable bolts, comprising two elements that can be fixed to secure the coupling to the preferred round, elliptical constrpction member. The purpose of the two elements allows the coupling to be installed to members where there is a limited ability to locate the coupling over the member section. • 4. Base plate L components is utilised for base alignment of a member used either as a singular or doubled up each side of the member base. Added to the base component is angle L_ fixed at 90° for square or extruded profile. For round, elliptical or oblong sections or profiles, an added v component is added. The base plate is secured to the ground or substrate using pegs to locate
alignment. The base plate is drill with variable hole sizes and locations for temporary securing of members, and if required allow for the base plat^/s to permit height adjustment of the member . * 5. Bracing bars to be fixed to the'HALO'coupling on the member, being interchangeable Lsections with nominal holes drilled to allow a variable fixing location to ba^e pegs or base plate
Tiers of Application: Post X system has 3 tiers of application, namely:- * Primary - incorporates a basic bracing and alignment application for Non-Structural screw fixing of components and peg location • Secondary - incorporates the adjustable 'HALO' coupling alignment to position and align structural members using adjustable screw threads
• Tertiary-incorporates the use of the 'two-piece' adjustable 'HALO' component and height adjustable base plate alignment

Claims (1)

  1. APPLICATION CLAIMS:
    Application Claim 1: Post X enables an operator / installer the ability to accurately position a structural or non-structurai element to both horizontal and vertical absolute position using adjustable thread elements and temporary fixings through a variety of pre-aligned fixing points, with the ability to cater for variable element sizes as the Halo element can be separated and located as required. (Refer to included drawings: DES Al, DES A2, DES A4, DES A6, DES A7, DES Bl) Application Claim 2: Post X enables the operator / installer the ability to secure the base of the proposed structural or non-structural member location to the required horizontal spacing to preventj movement due to other activity. (Refer to included drawings: DES Al, DES B2, DES B3, DES B4) Application Claim 3: Post X enables the operator / installer to use elements in combination, or as an assembly of combinations. Post X construction system offers a temporary and adjustable construction apparatus that performs the functions of 4-way bracing and aligning on the 'x' and 'y' axis, securing construction members to suit site and/or application conditions. (Refer to included drawings: DES Al, DES A2,DES A4, DES A6, DES A7, DES Bl) Application Claim 4: Post X enables an operator / installer with the capacity to utilise the product with a range of varying member profiles and sizes, including, but not limited to the following: - » • Square or rectangular sections or profiles including moulds & forms • Round, elliptical or oblong sections or profiles, moulds & forms • Extruded profile^ or combination of extrusion profiles , · i, Η, T sections or profiles or combinations of these Application Claim 5: Post X can be used with a range of construction materials, including but not limited to the following: - • Timber (wood or timber composites) • Metal ( Iron, aluminium, cast iron and all metal composites) • Concrete (concrete pipe and off-form concrete) • Composite materials, to include but not limited to plastics, alloys, and other recycled and manufactured sections and profiles
