The base of the mounting component may include a receiving means for receiving a fastening means therethrough. The receiving means may be in the form of apertures arranged at spaced intervals along the length of the base. The fastening means may be shaped and configured to fasten the base of the mounting component to a roof sheet support structure, typically a purlin. The fastening means may be in the form of, but not limited to, a securing screw. It is to be appreciated that the securing screw may increase the sheet’s resistance to be removed from the purlin.
It is to be appreciated that the fastening of the base to the purlin may increase the strength and spanning capabilities of the roofing sheet.
The mounting component may range between 150 mm - 400 mm in length and between 0.4 - 5.0 mm in thickness. Typically, the mounting component is 230 mm in length and 0.8 mm in thickness.
