Description
Outline • Yardie is an application used on a portable computing device. • Yardie consists of two applications that are interlinked to connect consumers with service providers. • The Yardie "app" is also linked to an online portal for the front and back (admin) end.
Operation
The Service
Yardie is an online Lawn Mowing / Landscaping network through the use of the Yardie "app" allows users to request lawn mowing and landscaping service via an on-demand request or Yardie partner request, optional add-on services that are involved in landscaping and lawn and garden maintenance are also available.
Users
Consumers will be able to request a lawn care / landscaping & gardening maintenance & services, make payments and leave feedback via the consumers "app"
Yardie Service Partners.
Serivce Partners will be pre-qualified lawn mowing / landscaping / gardening contractors that can promote, accept work requests, invoice, receive payments and leave feedback via the Partners "app”
Service Options
On Demand
Users will post a job through the consumers "app" that will send a request to the closest Yardie service partner within a target radius from the users current location or profiles linked address.
Partner Request
Users will be able to view partner profiles that are currently online/working in the area from the current location or those Yardie service partners whom have linked a business address to their profiles and are pinned on the map interface.
On-Going Services
All service requests made by users are for single services, once a job is completed the user will be asked if they would like to request for ongoing services. The on-going services can be scheduled within weekly time blocks.
The on-going service is also available when a users post a job using the partner request method.
Functionality
Pending Job
At this stage a job has been posted by a user, the job has been accepted by a Yardie service partner and the job request will move to the "pending job" stage, a time window will start for the service provider to commence the job. The user may cancel the service without any charge within another a shorter time window. If the job is cancelled by the user outside this shorter time window, the user will be charged a small "cancelation" fee which will be then funded to the Yardie service partner.
If the time window is lapsed the job will cancel and Service provider will be charged with a "Incomplete job" fee that a percentage will be funded to the user.
The Job
The Yardie service partner arrive on site of the pending job request. Once the service partner is within a target radius of the job request location a "Start Job" button will appear in the service partner’s "app". Once the "Start Job" is pressed the service has commenced and synonymously the user is notified that work/service has commenced. A "Pause" & "Finish Job" buttons will appear in place of the "Start Job" which will allow the Service provider to break and complete the job accordingly. The Yardie service partner’s location is tracked continuously and can be viewed live through the users application. Once the Yardie believes the requested work has been seen through he will complete the job by pressing the "Finish Job" button. Synonymously a notification will be sent to the user that the work has been completed.
Payments
Once a job has been completed by the service provider and a notification has been sent to the user, the job will progress to the pending payment stage. The user will have a 24 hours or a time window to review the job. The user will have the option to, call back, dispute job, complete job. If the job has not been reviewed or action taken by the user in 24 hours the job will progress to completed and payment will be funded to the service provider.
Call Back
Call back will allow users to write directly to the Yardie service provider voicing any concerns regarding a job completed unsatisfactory. The job will progress to a "on hold" stage until the job is completed satisfactory or the job is progressed to a dispute
Dispute
Dispute will allow users to write to the Yardie administration to voice any concerns in regards to a job not completed unsatisfactory. The job will then progress to a "on hold” status, which will hold all payments and reviews until an outcome has been reached. The job will then progress to a completed job.
Complete Job
If the job has been reviewed and is too satisfactory the user may complete the job. Upon completion the payment will be funded to the Yardie service provider. Once payment has been sent a ratings & review will be available in both the User and service partner’s application to provide a rating and feedback of their job experience. The User will also have the option to request an on-going service.
Ratings & Reviews
All users and Yardie service partners will have the option to provide a "star" rating along with a short feedback comment once a job has been completed.
Rates
On-Demand
Jobs posted for on demand service is calculated by a set formula -(booking fee + time completed x monetary rate + square meters of job x monetary rate + fixed add-ons)
Service request
Jobs requested via a Yardie partners profile is calculated by a set formula - (booking fee + profiles stated hourly rate / time taken + fixed add-ons)
Online Portal
The Yardie website will be accessible by consumers/users and Yardie service partners. Using their profile login credentials, dependent on their account type i.e user or partner. The corresponding interface will load. Both the user and consumer will have a credit card or direct debit linked to their profiles before jobs can be requested or accepted.
Consumer Portal
The Yardie website (online portal) will allow consumers to create a Yardie consumer profile, edit profile, retrieve previous job invoices, payments made, services requested, disputes and help desk.
Service Partner Portal
The partners portal will be used in much the same way as the consumer portal regarding profiles but is accessed for contractors daily business operation information.
