Description

_DESCRIPTION_
Waterproof Cardboard and Manufacturing Method Thereof FIELD OF THE UTILITY MODEL
The utility model relates to the technical field of packaging cardboards, particularly to a waterproof cardboard with waterproof and dampproof properties, good strength, high toughness and good impact resistance, and a manufacturing method thereof.
BACKGROUND OF THE UTILITY MODEL
Most of the cardboards on the market are manufactured by means of double-sided film coating, and therefore are not water-resistant (dampproof at best) when fully soaked in water during use, and have a complex film coating process and high printing cost due to the insolubility of a thin film during paper making and pulping in the recycling process.
In addition, an existing cardboard is waterproof by coating a water repellent or wax on its surface. A water repellent itself has a hydrophobic function (similar to lotus leaves), but only the surfaces of such cardboards are hydrophobic, and the problem of water seepage at the edges of the bottom faces, corrugations or composite materials of such cardboards cannot be solved. However, if waterproofing is achieved by waxing, although fully waxing the inside and outside is used as a water repellency approach, such cardboards can resist water for only 3-6 h and cannot be used again after air drying, and the waxed cardboards have blackened surfaces and therefore cannot meet the demands of high-grade sales package at high humidity.
Moreover, most of the cardboards on the market are corrugated cardboards. A corrugated cardboard is a multilayered adhesive body which is at least composed of a wave-like core paper interlayer (commonly known as “corrugated sheet”, “corrugated paper”, “corrugating medium paper”, “corrugating medium” and “semi-chemical corrugated paper”) and a layer of a cardboard (also known as “cardboard paper” and “boxboard”). Corrugated cardboards are concise and portable with good shock resistance, but have huge volumes, poor waterproof and dampproof properties, poor strength and no pressure resistance, thus their use is limited.
In summary, there is a need on the market for a waterproof cardboard which is environmental-friendly, can be fully waterproof and dampproof, is reusable after being soaked in water, and exhibits good strength, high toughness and impact resistance so as to meet the demands of production and life.
SUMMARY OF THE UTILITY MODEL
For the above disadvantages of the prior art, the utility model provides a waterproof cardboard and a manufacturing method thereof, wherein the waterproof cardboard has low production cost and a simple production process, provides good waterproof and dampproof effects and is therefore reusable after being soaked in water, and exhibits good strength, high toughness and good impact resistance.
To solve the problems existing in the prior art, the following specific technical solutions are adopted. A waterproof cardboard comprises a body layer, wherein the body layer is formed by compounding 3-6 layers of all-wood kraft paper, an adhesive layer made of a high molecular organic substance that can bond every two adjacent layers of the all-wood kraft paper together is arranged between the two adjacent layers, and the adhesive layer is crystalline thermoplastic resin; a printing layer and a waterproof layer are sequentially arranged at one side of the body layer; a waterproof layer is arranged at the other side of the body layer; and the printing layer is a high-viscosity water-based ink printing layer, and a waterproofing agent used in the waterproof layer is an acrylic resin waterproof layer.
Preferably, the all-wood kraft paper has a weight of 500-1500 g/m2.
The utility model further provides a method for manufacturing a waterproof cardboard, which comprises the steps of: 51 compounding 3-6 layers of all-wood kraft paper, wherein a composite colloid is a colloid having a high molecular organic substance as a main material; 52 printing at one side of the compounded paper body with high-viscosity water-based ink; 53 respectively coating a waterproofing agent having acrylic resin as a main body on front and back faces of the printed cardboard; and 54 cutting the coated cardboard into boxes by a cutting die.
In a preferred embodiment, a main body of the composite colloid comprises the following proportions of components: 70% of a styrene-butyl acrylate copolymer emulsion (briefly referred to as a styrene-butyl acrylate emulsion) and 30% of water-based tackifying resin.
In a further preferred embodiment, the composite colloid further comprises the following auxiliary agents: an antifoaming agent, a thickener and an emulsifier.
By adopting the above embodiments, a waterproof cardboard and a manufacturing method thereof according to the utility model have the following technical effects when compared with the prior art: (1) a cardboard body is made of a 100% wood pulp paper material, and a body material is water-resistant, thus providing better waterproof effects; (2) internal and external surfaces of the waterproof cardboard are respectively coated with a water-repellent material having acrylic resin as a waterproofing agent, wherein the water-repellent material can effectively prevent surface paper from absorbing water, contains no harmful substance, and is safe and environmental-friendly; (3) a plurality of all-wood paper sheets are compounded for many times, non-aqueous glue is used as a composite colloid, and the waterproof and compounded paper has the problem of water seepage at an edge of a cut section thereof during soaking, but can be used again and may not be degummed after being soaked for 12 h and taken out for natural air drying; (4) the waterproof cardboard of the utility model has low production cost, a simple production process, good waterproof and dampproof effects, good strength, high toughness and good impact resistance; and (5) crystalline thermoplastic resin is used as an adhesive layer, which has excellent low-temperature resistance, can be used at the lowest temperature of -100°C to -70°C, exhibits good chemical stability, can resist the corrosion from most acids and bases, is insoluble in common solvents at normal temperature, and has low water absorption and excellent electrical insulation.
