Today merchants send offers to consumers via various sources like newspapers, ads, coupons, ecommerce website sales etc. However, in today's offer delivery mechanism, retail merchants don't have a way to send personalized offers to more targeted audience. Currently, it is a mass delivery to large consumer base and the targeting get diluted due to non-availability of a system that helps merchants to view their consumer's shopping list, preferred stores, buying habits and social media activities.
Proposed patent is a method, system and software applications (web & mobile) for consumer discovery and offer delivery to the most accurate consumers. The sales conversion rate is always higher than any other solution prevailing in the market today.
Patent Description
The invention relates to software application for retail merchants and how data is processed by application to accurately target consumers, and in particular, an algorithm to process data components to make better decisions for sending offers and discounts.
Today there are several methods opted by merchants for sending out offers , discounts and coupons to consumers. All the methods belong to mass delivery of benefits to large audience without any accuracy in the targeting the end users. Existing systems factor in user's location and check-in history for targeting offers to consumers. In order to make the retail business more profitable, and competitive, any benefit(s) from merchants and retail stores has to be targeted to the most potential consumers. To accomplish this, software driven merchant systems has to consider factors like end consumer's shopping list, location, preferred shops, social network activities and buying history and then identify the highly potential consumers for targeting offers and discounts.
To introduce high level of accuracy in identifying the end users, merchant software systems has to be redesigned (or a new system to be built) to consider disclosed parameters. System should be aware of consumer's shopping needs, where they are located at any point and which stores they prefer to visit. These data points when combined with end user's social networking activities (likes, +ls, comments etc) and past buying habits will help to resolve the long standing problem of lack of accuracy in consumer targeting for offers and discounts.
