In the air conditioner pertaining to the first aspect of the invention, the user can power on the wireless LAN adapter by operating the remote controller. Consequently, the user does not have to go to the trouble of opening the front surface panel of the air conditioner to directly operate the wireless LAN adapter. Thus, the cumbersomeness of the work for powering on the wireless LAN adapter can be reduced. Furthermore, the wireless LAN adapter does not have to be equipped with a power switch, so the configuration of the wireless LAN adapter can be simplified.
In an air conditioner pertaining to a second aspect of the invention, in a case where the body control component has received the command signal relating to initial setting of the wireless LAN adapter, the body control component sends to the wireless LAN adapter a
DK-AU151190 control signal relating to the initial setting of the wireless LAN adapter. The wireless LAN adapter carries out the initial setting on the basis of the control signal.
In the air conditioner pertaining to the second aspect of the invention, the user can carry out the initial setting of the wireless LAN adapter by operating the remote controller. Consequently, the user does not have to go to the trouble of opening the front surface panel of the air conditioner to directly operate the wireless LAN adapter. Thus, the cumbersomeness of the work for carrying out the initial setting of the wireless LAN adapter can be reduced. Furthermore, the wireless LAN adapter does not have to have an initial setting switch, so the configuration of the wireless LAN adapter can be simplified.
In an air conditioner pertaining to a third aspect of the invention, the body electrical component section further has an indicator component. The indicator component carries out indication relating to air conditioning operation, indication relating to the power of the wireless LAN adapter being on, and indication relating to the initial setting. That is, the indicator component is jointly used by the body control component and the wireless LAN adapter.
Consequently, in the air conditioner pertaining to the third aspect of the invention, the wireless LAN adapter does not have to be equipped with a separate indicator component, so the configuration of the wireless LAN adapter can be simplified.
In an air conditioner pertaining to a fourth aspect of the invention, the wireless LAN adapter is disposed adjacent to the body electrical component section.
In the air conditioner pertaining to the fourth aspect of the invention, the wireless LAN adapter is disposed adjacent to the body electrical component section, so the length of a wire harness can be kept from increasing.
In an air conditioner pertaining to a fifth aspect of the invention, the body electrical component section has a power supplying component connected to the wireless LAN adapter. The power supplying component is disposed opposite from the wireless LAN adapter across the indicator component. The power supplying component powers on the wireless LAN adapter by supplying a power-supply voltage to the wireless LAN adapter by way of the indicator component.

160. The power supplying component 153 is disposed opposite from the wireless LAN adapter 160 across the indicator component 154. The power supplying component 153 powers on the wireless LAN adapter 160 by supplying the power-supply voltage to the wireless LAN adapter 160 by way of the indicator component 154. That is, the wireless LAN adapter 160 does not obtain the power-supply voltage directly from the power supplying component 153 but obtains the power-supply voltage from the indicator component 154. The indicator component 154 is disposed in a position closer to the wireless LAN adapter 160 than the power supplying component 153, so the length of the wire harness 170 can be kept from increasing.
In the air conditioner 100 of the present embodiment, the wireless LAN adapter 160 has the DC-DC converter 164. The DC-DC converter 164 converts the power-supply voltage supplied from the body electrical component section 150 to a power-supply voltage for the wireless LAN adapter. Because of this, the power-supply voltage needed by various circuits in the wireless LAN adapter 160 can be obtained in the wireless LAN adapter 160.
In the air conditioner 100 of the present embodiment, the wireless LAN adapter 160 is disposed in front of the indoor heat exchanger 130 and the drain pan 140 and outside the air flow path. Consequently, the wireless LAN adapter 160 can be disposed without lowering the air flow performance.
<Example Modifications>
Example modifications applicable to the embodiment of the invention will be described.
(1) Example Modification A
In the above description, the wireless LAN adapter 160 was disposed in front of the indoor heat exchanger 130 and the drain pan 140, but the wireless LAN adapter 160 may also be disposed in another section provided that it is outside the air flow path.
(2) Example Modification B
In the above description, the remote controller 200 communicated with the body control component 152 by infrared, but the remote controller 200 may also communicate with the body control component 152 by another near-field wireless communication standard. Examples thereof can include Bluetooth.
The invention has been described above using an embodiment, but the technical scope of the invention is not limited to scope described in the embodiment. It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that many changes or improvements can be made to the embodiment.
It will be apparent from the scope of the claims that embodiments to which such changes or
DK-AU151190 improvements have been made can also be included in the technical scope of the invention.
It should be noted that the execution order of processes such as operations, sequences, steps, and stages in devices, programs, and methods described in the scope of the claims, the specification, and the drawings can be realized in an arbitrary order provided that expressions such as “before” and “preceding” are not clearly indicated and it is not the case that the output of a previous process is used in a subsequent process. Even if an operational flow in the scope of the claims, the specification, and the drawings has been described using expressions such as “first” and “next” as appropriate, it does not mean that the operational flow must be implemented in this order.
