Abstract
A rod locking apparatus comprising a housing having a first and second intersecting tubular passages, the first tubular passage being provided with a serrated locking surface, a wedge piston slidably arranged in the first tubular passage, the wedge piston having a front side with a wedge surface adapted in use to engage an end surface of a rod to be locked, wherein the wedge piston has a serrated rear side which engages with the serrated locking surface.
