Description :
The TooshiPut is a sleeping aid to help support babies with REFLUX. It works by supporting babies from slipping under their blankets when their mattress is elevated to reduce regurgitation caused by reflux.
The TooshiPut is created using a foam support attached to a fabric overlay attached to the mattress on the under side of the mattress, by straps connected by buckle or Velcro.
To operate the TooshiPut, place the padded section down where your baby's bottom would rest during sleep. Ensuring their feet are just resting at the foot of the bed. The overlay is where your baby would rest their bottom and lower back. Then connect the two straps together on the underside of the mattress. 2 2016101871 28 Oct 2016
The TooshiPut Story
TooshiPut, was an idea created by myself to help with my newest babies reflux. As the doctors always mention with reflux in babies to elevate there mattress to minimise the regurgitation effects of reflux. So as you do, I elevated her mattress in her bassinet.
However, after the first night with her mattress elevated I noticed in the morning she had slipped down her mattress and beneath her blankets. I was quick to remove them thinking the worst as suffocation can lead to death (SIDS). 3 2016101871 28 Oct 2016
So with my mind ticking over as to what can I do to stop this, I had came up with this idea of creating a support that helps prevent your baby from slipping down their bassinet while sleeping. So I went into design mode, and came up with my idea to which I have called TooshiPut.
TooshiPut is created by using a fabric overlay with a foam cushioning at the base creating a raised support that prevents the baby's bottom from slipping down. It is held in place by two straps that connect together on the underside of the mattress. (Adjustable straps to allow all mattress sizes).
The purpose of the fabric overlay is not only to house the raised support to prevent the baby's bottom slipping. But it helps the whole design come together. As you place your baby on top of this fabric overlay their body weight also aids in the prevention of any unforseen movement of the TooshiPut, if not restrained firmly enough.
The foam insert is of a soft quality to ensure baby's comfort and to feel like there is nothing there at all. There are 3 sizes of foam inserts to allow for use as your baby grows, and also to suit the size of the baby.

- Claims : I am seeking protection of my invention on its: * Name - Tooshiput * Shape * Design * Appearance * Functionality * Purpose and * Materials (100% cotton fabric & bamboo wading) The technical features to be protected also are the location of the bottom support and the fabric overlay that helps prevent slipping of the baby at night. Also the fastening device beneath the mattress, to ensure no contact by the baby preventing choking or strangulation. 5
