Abstract

A drinks pouch that has a material pouch (1), a drawstring neck (10), long adjustable straps (2), a plastic lining and a small pocket 6 on the exterior of the pouch. The pouch may hold a drinks bottle (5) or plastic tumbler (3), preferably the bottle sits inside the tumbler within the pouch. Watertight lids (7) and (8) for the tumbler and bottle may be attached to the outside of the drinks pouch via an attachment (9). The drawstring neck (10) may fasten around the neck of the bottle or tumbler depending on which is being used. A foldable plastic funnel (4) may be used with the drinks pouch which may be stored in the exterior pocket when not in use. The pouch is intended to be worn continuously in pubs and clubs to safeguard drinks from being tampered with. Figure 1

DRINKS POUCH

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The invention relates to a drinks pouch, with the purpose of safe-guarding drinks, in social situations.

[0002] Leaving drinks unattended in pubs and clubs, whilst the owner moves around socializing, dancing or visiting the toilet can result in their drink being spiked, with a substance such as, the rape drug.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0003] The object of the present invention is to provide a drinks pouch to reduce the above mentioned problems.

[0004] According to the invention there is provided a drinks pouch comprises a material pouch, a drawstring neck, a folding plastic funnel, and a small pocket on the exterior of the pouch, the pouch is used to hold a drinks bottle, the drawstring neck is fastened around the neck of the bottle, the small pocket on the outside of the pouch providing housing for the funnel.

[0005] In another preferred embodiment, comprises also comprises long adjustable straps, the drinks pouch is worn around the neck or over the shoulder by the long adjustable straps.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0008] As shown in Figure 1, the pouch 1 comprises of an outer which is made of fabric material, with an inner plastic lining. To be worn around the neck or over the shoulder by long adjustable straps 2. A plastic tumbler 3 fits into the base of the pouch 1. A plastic bottle 5 fits neatly into the tumbler 3 giving a choice of vessels. An attachment 9 fastened to the outside of the pouch 1 secures the watertight lids 7, 8 for the tumbler 3 and bottle 5. When not in use the tumbler’s lid 7 can be removed from the attachment 9 and fitted onto the base of the tumbler 3 for storage purposes. A drawstring neck 10 fastens around the neck of the bottle 5. Or, if the tumbler 3 is the preferred use, the pouch 1 pulls down to size and the drawstring 10 fastens around the rim of the tumbler 3.

[0009] As shown in Figure 2 a folding plastic funnel 4 is supplied for transferring drinks into the bottle 5. A small pocket 6 on the outside of the pouch 1 provides housing for the funnel 4. The benefit of transferring drinks via the funnel 4 into the plastic bottle 5, is that it is light weight. However, the pouch 1 can be used on its own to carry bought bottles, such as lager or coke. The pouch 1 is intended to be worn continuously, by long straps 2, thus safe-guarding drinks from being tampered with by an individual with sinister motives. To counteract the very serious tone of the invention, the pouch 1 will be made of washable, fashionable material suggesting that they are trendy and fun to use.

Claims

1. A drinks pouch comprises a material pouch, a drawstring neck, a folding plastic funnel, and a small pocket on the exterior of the pouch, the pouch is used to hold a drinks bottle, the drawstring neck is fastened around the neck of the bottle, the small pocket on the outside of the pouch providing housing for the funnel.

2. A drinks pouch according to claim 1, wherein also comprises long adjustable straps, the drinks pouch is worn around the neck or over the shoulder by the long adjustable straps.
